Why Bet on the Baltimore Ravens?
Anthony Brown got the first start of his career last Sunday. Brown threw for 286 yards. But he also tossed a pair of interceptions.
Baltimore rushed the ball well versus Cincy, going for 110 yards from 27 carries. Kenyan Drake rushed for 60 yards and a TD.
QB Tyler Huntley practiced on Wednesday. Lamar Jackson didn’t, which means either Huntley or Brown will start.
Although the Ravens lost the game against the Bengals last week, Baltimore’s defense played well. The D held Joe Burrow to 215 passing yards and a single passing TD.
The defense sacked Joe Cool twice. Baltimore held Cincinnati rushers to a 2.8 yards per carry average. If the offense hadn’t put the Ravens’ D in bad situations, Baltimore wouldn’t have allowed 27 points.
Why Bet on the Cincinnati Bengals?
Burrow and his squad has struggled twice this season versus the Baltimore Ravens’ defense. In the first game, Cincinnati scored 17 points in a 17-19 loss.
Joe Cool tossed a pick and threw for just 217 yards. If you read the analysis of the Ravens’ defense you know that we must place an asterisk near the 27 points Cincy scored last week versus Baltimore.
Cincinnati’s defense not only picked off Anthony Brown twice, but the Bengals also sacked Brown 4 times. The defense also recovered a Sammy Watkins fumble.
The Bengals held the Ravens to just 16 points. In the first matchup, even with Lamar Jackson on the field, Baltimore scored just 19 points.

- Bengals are 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 home games.

- Under is 12-3-1 in Cincinnati’s last 16 versus the AFC.
Ravens vs. Bengals Expert Betting Predictions
This is a tough game to handicap for a couple of reasons. First, we’re not sure if Baltimore will go with Anthony Brown or Tyler Huntley in this.
Second, it’s apparent that Roquan Smith dominated the Bengals. So, yes, Cincinnati beat Baltimore last Sunday, but the Bengals had no answer for Smith.
Roquan was involved in 4 tackles and had a ridiculous 12 solo tackles. Baltimore signed Smith to a long term contract earlier this week, which means, if anything, he’ll be more fired up on Sunday than he has been since coming over from Chicago.
Cincinnati was at full strength and pushed ATS versus Brown. If Huntley gets the start, it will be difficult for the Bengals to pull away in this game because Tyler won’t make the same mistakes that Brown made.
No doubt, Cincinnati should win straight up. But laying 8.5 points on the team with the much better defense is tough to do. Taking the points on the Ravens is the smart play.
