Steelers vs. Ravens 2022 NFL Week 17 Odds, Preview & Pick
The NFL originally had Los Angeles Rams vs. Los Angeles Chargers as the Sunday night game in Week 16, but the Rams are out of playoff contention and the Chargers already clinched a berth, so that game was flexed out for Pittsburgh at Baltimore.
Justin Tucker kicked three field goals, the defense picked off three passes and Calais Campbell blocked the eighth kick of his career as Baltimore won in Pittsburgh for the first time since 2019. Pittsburgh played most of the game without rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett, who entered the concussion protocol in the first quarter.

Why Bet on the Pittsburgh Steelers?
Pittsburgh (7-8) hasn’t been eliminated from playoff contention but it basically would take a miracle. The Steelers beat the visiting Raiders 13-10 on Saturday to stay alive. Pittsburgh scored 10 unanswered fourth-quarter points. Pickett completed 26-of-39 passes for 244 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
With wind chills below zero, Pickett looked like the worst quarterback in the NFL for 3.5 quarters but calmly guided the Steelers on what proved to be the game-winning drive with 2:55 remaining. He found George Pickens for his only score, a 14-yarder, after Pickens found the soft spot in the defense at the 0:46 mark.
Three weeks ago, the Steelers allowed a season-high 215 rushing yards to the Ravens in that close. In the two games since, the Steelers have given up just 79 yards on 35 carries, an average of 2.3 yards per attempt, winning both of those games. Overall, the Steelers are allowing 105.6 yards per game to opponents on the ground this season, the sixth-lowest in the NFL. But since their Week 9 bye, they’ve been even more stingy, giving up 91.6 yards per game on the ground.
Why Bet on the Baltimore Ravens?
Baltimore goes for the season sweep as it won in Pittsburgh 16-14 in Week 14 despite playing without star QB Lamar Jackson. Third-stringer Anthony Brown filled in for most of the second half with Jackson out with a knee injury and backup Tyler Huntley placed in the concussion protocol. Baltimore ran for 215 yards, including a clinching 6-yard burst by Gus Edwards for a first down at the 2-minute warning that let the Ravens run out the clock.
The Ravens clinched still can win the AFC North but clinched a wild-card spot with Saturday’s 17-9 over Atlanta and losses by Jets and Patriots. Jackson remained out injured and Huntley completed 9-of-17 passes for 115 yards and one touchdown, adding 11 carries for 26 additional yards. He has thrown for less than 150 yards in each of his last three games.
Gus Edwards ran for 99 yards and J.K. Dobbins rushed for 59 for Baltimore. Huntley’s 6-yard touchdown pass to Demarcus Robinson in the second quarter was the first TD catch by a Ravens wide receiver since Week 3. The Ravens were 1-of-4 in the red zone (one touchdown and three field goals) against a Falcons defense that ranked 22nd in red zone efficiency (allowing TDs 59.2% of the time). In three games without Jackson, Baltimore has managed two touchdowns. Saturday marked the ninth straight game Baltimore has played against opponents currently under .500.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh hasn’t given any update on Jackson after initially saying he was “week-to-week” earlier this month with a knee injury. It was expected to be a one- to three-week injury, which means Jackson should be ready soon. This also marks the second straight season that Jackson has missed multiple games in December, which could impact contract negotiations after the season.
Offensive struggles inside the 20 have overshadowed the defensive dominance inside the red zone since late October. After ranking 26th in red-zone defense through Week 7, the Ravens have allowed a touchdown on just seven of their opponents’ last 24 trips inside the 20.
