Why Bet on the Villanova Wildcats?
In their Elite Eight matchup versus Houston, Villanova had one of their worst shooting days of the year. Nova shot just 29% from the field and 24% from three. But although the Wildcats couldn’t buy a bucket, they managed to beat the Cougars 50-44. There’s no way Villanova shoots as poorly as they did in the Elite Eight, which means Nova has a big shot to upset Kansas on the moneyline.
Why Bet on the Kansas Jayhawks?
Miami had beaten every team they faced. Heading into halftime in the Elite Eight, the Hurricanes had a 6 point lead, 35-29, and it looked as if Miami was on their way to yet another NCAA Touranment victory. But in the second half, the Jayhawks dominated. Rock Chalk outscored Miami 47-15 in the second half to beat the Hurricanes 76-50. Kansas showed the rest of the Final Four participants that they mean business.

Villanova vs. Kansas Expert Betting Predictions
Villanova plays defense as well as any team left in the Final Four. The problem the Wildcats have in this matchup, though, is stopping the Jayhawks. Kansas can excel in a slow down contest, like they did when beating Providence 66-61 in the Sweet 16, or they can run and gun, like when they beat Creighton 79-72 in their second round victory.
One of the things that makes Kansas so difficult to beat is that they run the fast break as well as any team in the Final Four, but they also play half court defense as well as Big 12 teams Baylor and Texas Tech.
So you can’t out-athletic Kansas. You can’t hope to beat them with half-court sets, either. Again, Villanova is a good squad, but the reason they beat Houston is because the Cougars shot 5% from three.
In the Cougars’ victory over Arizona, Houston shot 45% from three. Yes, Nova’s defense had a lot do with Houston’s terrible performance, but we shouldn’t kid ourselves. Kansas is a better offensive team than Villanova, is deeper, and will have the best player on the court in Ochai Agbaji. Rock Chalk Jayhawk gets the win and cover.
