Why the Philadelphia Eagles Will Win Super Bowl LVII
The naysayers had it wrong. Many felt the Philadelphia Eagles didn’t have enough experience, and starting quarterback Jalen Hurts was too banged up, for Philly to beat the San Francisco 49ers. But Philadelphia proved everyone wrong by not just beating the Niners, but dominating the best defense in the league. Philadelphia now heads to Glendale, AZ looking to win their second Super Bowl since 2019. See below for the 7 reasons the Eagles get it done.

Jalen Hurts will be fully healthy
The last time the Eagles won the Lombardi Trophy, journeyman quarterback Nick Foles was their quarterback. This time, Philly enters the NFL Championship game with an MVP candidate.
Jalen Hurts is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. In the playoffs, Hurts led the Eagles to blowout victories against the Giants and 49ers. The victory over the Niners is particularly telling because San Francisco entered the game with the best defense in the league.
Nick Siriani will come up with a fantastic strategy
Coach Nick Siriani doesn’t have the postseason experience that Andy Reid has, but it may not matter. Siriani puts together game plans that take away the opposing team’s top player.
In this case, Siriani will devise a defensive game plan that tempers the Patrick Mahomes to Travis Kelce connection. Then on offense, Siriani will free up Devonta Smith or AJ Brown.
Eagles defensive ends Brandon Graham and Josh Sweat, and linebacker Hassan Reddick are unstoppable
The trio dominated the 49ers, especially Reddick. Hassan recorded a tackle for a loss, 2 sacks, and is the player that knocked out San Francisco starter Brock Purdy.
Sweat recorded a tackle for a loss. Graham had just a single solo tackle. But Brandon requires so much attention that SF put a backup tight-end on Reddick, which is the reason Hassan had such a brilliant game.
Jake Elliott is one of the best kickers in the league
Elliott has kicked balls for Philly for years. Jake remains one of the top kickers in the NFL. How good is Elliott?
During the regular season, Jake connected on 5-of-6 field goals that were 50 yards or longer. He went 8-of-9 from 30 to 39 yards and 1-of-2 from 40 to 49 yards.
The Eagles boast the NFL’s top offensive line
Philly sent 8 players to the Pro Bowl this season. 3 of the 8 were offensive lineman.
Guard Landon Dickerson, right tackle Lane Johnson, and Jason Kelce all got the Pro Bowl call. Those three will ensure Jalen Hurts stands upright and Miles Sanders has holes to run through.
Hurts gets to throw to the deepest group of receivers in the league
AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Quez Watkins, and tight-end Dallas Goedert means opponents must make difficult choices.
Double team AJ and Devonta, one of the fastest players in the league, is one-on-one. Shade towards Smith, and Brown will dominate. Watkins is a great slot receiver. Goedert is impossible to cover with a linebacker, which means your strong safety can’t double one of your receivers or help to stop the rush.
Philadelphia was the best team during the regular season
Philly went 14-3 during the regular season. 2 of the 3 losses came late against Dallas and New Orleans when Jalen Hurts was injured. A healthy Hurts and Philadelphia probably wins those games.
