Why is Real Madrid a safe bet to win?

In the first leg, Carlo Ancelotti’s crew appeared hesitant. But then, after going down 2 goals to 0, Real relaxed and began to play soccer the way Ancelotti intended. The legendary coach and manager got his team to rally down 2-0 to cut the lead to 2-1 before halftime after Karim Benzema got a goal at the thirty-third minute. Foden added his goal for the Sky Blues in the second half. Vinicius Junior counter punched with a goal two minutes later at minute 55.

If not for Silva’s goal in minute 74, Real may have escaped Etihad Stadium with a draw because Benzema added a penalty kick goal at minute 82. Ancelotti will remind his team how close they came to drawing with arguably the best club team in the world. Because this happens at Santiago Bernabeau, El Blanco has an edge.

Why is Manchester City a safe bet to win?

Although Real rallied to cut the deficit to a goal, we shouldn’t look past the fact Man City dominated ball possession, 60% to 40%, and the fact City won the match. The Sky Blues scored 4 goals versus a solid Real Madrid defense. Kevin De Bruyne scored in minute 2. Gabriel Jesus added a goal in the eleventh minute. In the second half, Phil Foden added a goal in the fifty-third minute. Bernardo Silva scored in minute 74.

The scoring happened throughout the match, which means Pep Guardiola made the necessary changes to ensure Man City could find success from the first minute to the end of the game. Just because the venue changes, it doesn’t mean the Citizens forget the strategy.

Real Madrid vs. Manchester City Betting Prediction

Real played great and Ancelotti’s squad does have an edge because this happens on their pitch. But it looks like Manchester City is rounding back into their top form. The Sky Blues stumbled in an FA Cup loss to Liverpool on April 16. After the loss, the Citizens blasted Brighton 3-0 and Watford 5-1. We can’t call the 4-3 victory over Real another stumble because Man City beat their Champions League rivals. But the Sky Blues didn’t play nearly as well in the match as they can.

No worries. In their follow up game, City rolled to a 4-0 win over Leeds United. Leeds had played well leading up to the contest, beating Watford and Wolverhampton and drawing with Southampton and Crystal Palace.

The odds make either team more than playable. Overall, though, Manchester City is the better team. If the victory over Leeds is any indication, Pep’s squad will be ready to show they’re one of the two best club squads on the planet.
