The Favourites to Win the 2021 CFP National Championship

Alabama Crimson Tide

The Alabama Crimson Tide continue to maintain its lead in the rankings and are currently available with odds of +100. According to the latest predictions, it looks like they will be meeting Notre Dame in the Allstate Sugar Bowl this postseason. It’s still not 100% confirmed, but odds are looking that way. Having underperformed last year, despite having a wealth of senior talent meant that a lot of people dismissed their chances last season, but with an incredible run of form they are turning heads and have thoroughly earned their favorites status.

Clemson Tigers

The Clemson Tigers were massively fancied by oddsmakers and pundits alike in the preseason and the early season form did nothing to change this, getting off to a good start and retaining their favorites tag all the way up to week 10. But in week 10 they suffered defeat to Notre Dame, dropping to 3rd favorite, but have made a comeback with odds of +200. People worried that their form just wasn’t there. However, their recent form has been getting back to shape by star QB’s Trevor Lawrence’s return from a COVID-19 outbreak he experienced a few weeks back. Now they stand 2nd in the rankings and it looks like they will take on Ohio State at the Rose Bowl for a pass to the championship game.

Ohio State Buckeyes

Led by Heisman candidate, and many peoples favorite to be the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft, Justin Fields, the Ohio State Buckeyes are sitting at third favorite with odds of +500. Another team who did not play in week 11 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they have shown enough for any people to be convinced of their credentials. It did affect their previous rankings, as they were in second place but they still have a chance to make the championship game.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

There were two slight outsiders in terms of odds, but definitely contenders if you ask any sports caster or sportswriter are the Florida Gators and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. But it seems that the Fighting Irish are doing just a bit better than the Gators. Their recent action has shifted their College Football odds to +600. At this time, it seems that they will take on the Crimson Tide come around January 1st at the Sugar Bowl.
