Sunday, Nov. 7

Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals

  • 2021 NFL Week 9 Odds: Cincinnati Bengals -2.5

Shortly before the season started, the odds on Cleveland to win Super Bowl 56 fell from +2200 to +1400 odds. At one point in the first month of the season, the odds on the Browns fell to +1200, making them the fourth choice on the board to win the Lombardi Trophy. The odds on the Browns to grab Super Bowl rings now hovers around +4000. The dramatic fall illustrates how the spread line has changed.

Three weeks ago, the Browns would have been a favorite. The Bengals lost to the Jets in their last. But Cincinnati’s offense is playing better and we must question whether Cleveland has enough energy for this. Bengals win by at least 3.

NFL Week 9 Pick: Bengals

Denver Broncos vs. Dallas Cowboys

  • 2021 NFL Week 9 Odds: Dallas Cowboys -9.5

Denver has become one of the worst teams in the NFL. The Broncos have a terrible offense. The defense is a mess and will continue to be a mess. Contrasting Denver’s horrible offense, is the Cowboys’ best in the NFL offense. The Boys are so effective at moving the football and scoring points that Cooper Rush led them to victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8. If Dak starts, the Boys win by 14 to 20. If Rush starts, Dallas wins by 10 to 13.

NFL Week 9 Pick: Cowboys

Houston Texans vs. Miami Dolphins

  • 2021 NFL Week 9 Odds: Miami Dolphins -6.5

Miami’s offense isn’t bad. Tua bombed against Buffalo and their top ranked defense, but before that he threw decent games versus the Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars. The Dolphins’ issues are on the defensive side. You can’t give up 30 points to the Falcons and expect to win. Miami should have no trouble containing rookie Davis Mills and the Houston Texans offense.

The Texans traded Mark Ingram to the Saints. They also traded away players on defense. So Tagovailoa and the Fins should build a nice lead heading into halftime.

NFL Week 9 Pick: Dolphins

Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints

  • 2021 NFL Week 9 Odds: New Orleans Saints -6

New Orleans must play the rest of the season without Jameis Winston. Although Jameis was their starting quarterback, the Saints playing without Jameis will be less of a burden than the Falcons playing without Calvin Ridley.

The Atlanta wide receiver stretched the field for Matt Ryan. New Orleans will use a top defense and strong rushing attack to dominate the Falcons. If the Saints could contain Tom Brady, they should contain Ryan without his top wideout.

NFL Week 9 Pick: Saints

Green Bay Packers vs. Kansas City Chiefs

  • 2021 NFL Week 9 Odds: Green Bay Packers +100

If not for an offside penalty, Patrick Mahomes would have thrown a picks six on Monday night and the Chiefs would have lost their third straight game. When it comes to this Sunday’s game, KC isn’t on Green Bay’s level.

It’s difficult to understand why the Packers aren’t favored. Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers is playing like last season, dominating from beginning to end. The Packers’ defense has come together and the Chiefs have yet to beat a team above .500. Green Bay moneyline is the best play.

NFL Week 9 Pick: Packers moneyline

Monday, Nov. 8

Chicago Bears vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

  • 2021 NFL Week 9 Odds: Pittsburgh Steelers -6.5

It’s difficult to love the Pittsburgh Steelers just because the offense struggles to score. But on Monday night, the Steelers face the absolute worst offense in the NFL.

Chicago averages 15.4 points per. Don’t get us wrong. Justin Fields will develop into a good quarterback. He has no shot versus TJ Watt and the Steelers’ defense, though. Mike Tomlin has Pittsburgh playing above their talent level. Steelers cover.

NFL Week 9 Pick: Steelers
