The 2022 3M Open is the fourth installment of the tournament, with its roots being a former fixture on the PGA TOUR’s senior circuit between 1993 to 2018 as the 3M Championship. 3M is a Minnesota-based company known for its multitude of popular consumer products, which would explain why TPC Twin Cities has been the site of the 3M Open and the previous 3M Championship since 2001.
A huge prize pool worth $7.5 million is on the line at TPC Twin Cities this week, which is up from the $6.6 million total payout from 2021.
