2022 AFC North NFL Futures Odds and Preview

By Carlos Chacon

It’s pretty much a three-team race over in the crowded NFC North, which is expected out of the only division in the NFL to have all four of its teams win at least eight games apiece during the 2021 NFL season. The reigning AFC champions the Cincinnati Bengals reside in the AFC North, yet they’re quite shockingly not the consensus favorite to win back-to-back division titles this upcoming season.

Nitrobetting is ready to equip its bettors with the latest news, NFL futures odds, and special features for the duration of the 2022 NFL offseason. This time, let’s break down the AFC North divisional race along with each team’s respective odds to win the division title to date.

Baltimore Ravens

  • Odds to Win 2022 AFC North Division Title: +160

Injuries plagued the Ravens in 2021, particularly those suffered by former NFL MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson. Baltimore finished with a losing record for the first time since 2015 but is currently slightly ahead of the defending AFC champions odds-wise over in the heated AFC North race. A healthy season with Jackson back under center puts the Ravens above the rest of the division’s pack as we speak.

Cincinnati Bengals

  • Odds to Win 2022 AFC North Division Title: +175

The Bengals finally had the breakout season they’ve been building towards, as second-year QB Joe Burrow came back from a season-ending injury of his own that he suffered during his rookie campaign. But after his former partner in crime in LSU Ja’Marr Chase joined the Cincy offense, the two were arguably the most dynamic pairing in the NFL in 2021. Cincinnati must prove that the previous season was no fluke and it all begins with the team’s quest to win back-to-back AFC North titles for the first time in franchise history.

Cleveland Browns

  • Odds to Win 2022 AFC North Division Title: +300

Despite the off-field drama surrounding new quarterback Deshaun Watson, the Browns are still expected to be highly competitive in the divisional battle against their peers from the AFC North. Watson, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, is expected to return from his six-game ban in time to make a mid-season playoff push. In turn, Cleveland’s sleeper odds to win the division sounds about right, but only if Watson is cleared to play in the second half of the 2021 NFL regular season.

Pittsburgh Steelers

  • Odds to Win 2022 AFC North Division Title: +850

The retirement of Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger left a huge void that Pittsburgh needed to fill. As exciting as the prospect of local QB hero and rookie prospect Kenny Pickett starting immediately is, Pittsburgh is still expected to endure some growing pains with the debuting standout from Pitt. As such, the Steelers’ defense must regain its league-leading form during the 2020 season in order to challenge the rest of the AFC North and take home the team’s first division title in the post-Big Ben era.
