THE CJ CUP in South Carolina 2022 is celebrating its fifth anniversary as a fixture on the PGA TOUR regular season. The first three editions of the tournament were held in Jeju Island in South Korea but had to move the next two runs of the event stateside due to the global pandemic. This is the first time that the Congaree Golf Club in Ridgeland, South Carolina will host the event.
A massive prize pool worth $10.5 million is at stake in Ridgeland this week. That’s almost a $1 million prize increase from the 2021 edition of the tournament, which was set at $9.75 million. THE CJ CUP is just the second event in the young 2022-23 PGA TOUR season thus far to award a total payout in the eight-digit figures.
