Still Standing Strong from Week 10’s Aftermath
Nitrobetting continues its season-long quest of delivering the best NFL survivor experience on the web with its Nitro NFL Survivor Pool contests with a total purse worth over 10.73 BTC (~$180,000) across eight unique survivor pools. Week 10 had its fair share of upsets, with a couple of them won by teams that shouldn’t have been underdogs, to begin with. The sub-.500 Packers and the Buccaneers salvaged their seasons with victories over teams with winning records in the Cowboys and Seahawks, respectively. However, Green Bay and Tampa Bay already wreaked havoc upon the survivor scene weeks ago and were not the cause of many downfalls this week. Those who took a gamble on the Raiders in Week 10 were burnt badly despite going up against a Colts team that had an inexperienced head coach at the helm and a returning albeit aged Matt Ryan under center. Monday Night Football’s showdown between Philadelphia and Washington also delivered a late-week scare, as the Commanders pulled off the stunning road upset to snap the Eagles’ eight-game undefeated streak. However, those two upsets weren’t enough to make a dramatic impact on the six remaining buy-in Nitro NFL Survivor Pools as all six of them are still active in the wake of Week 10’s action. It’s worth noting, though, that the Hall of Fame Pool is now down to its last two competitors down from three last week. The once-highly-populated Prospect Pool is also down to a single-digit survivor count. There are eight survivors left standing in the Prospect Pool down from 12 the previous week, meaning that there are no pools left with a population in the double digits. NFL Survivor Picks for Week 11
There’s a pair of get-right games in Week 11 involving two playoff contenders that suffered stunning losses this past week. The aforementioned Eagles look to bounce back from their MNF defeat and are currently (+8.0) road favorites in their Week 11 matchup against the Colts. The Bills, who were on the losing end of the Game of the Year candidate against the Vikings in Week 10, are out for vengeance this coming Sunday hosting a Browns team coming off a blowout loss to the Dolphins. Buffalo is a (-9.5) favorite to right its ship at home in Week 11. Perhaps the most intriguing survivor decision to make this week is one in favor of Baltimore. The Ravens are now on a three-game win streak and are ripe for the survivor-picking, especially with the three-win Panthers coming to town. Although Carolina is hot off a rare win of its own over the Falcons this past week, Lamar Jackson and Co. have just taken out two of the Panthers’ division rivals these past two weeks (Bucs and Saints) and are rightful (-12.0) favorites to extend their win streak to four games and counting.
