The Cincinnati Bengals will win the AFC North

Cincinnati had been third choice behind the Baltimore Ravens and the Cleveland Browns to win the AFC North. Now, though, the defending AFC champs are second choice.

As the second choice, Cincy offers odds above even money to win their division. The Ravens will be a decent team, but Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson doesn’t have the weapons that Joe Burrow possesses.

Burrow to Ja’Marr Chase should be one of this season’s top quarterback-wide receiver combinations. The Bengals have a great defense and the experience is there. Cincinnati wins the AFC North.

New Orleans wins more than 7.5 games

The undervalued Saints should blow by their 7.5 game win-loss total. New Orleans can beat Tom Brady and the Buccaneers and win the NFC South. The Saints improved on offense and defense. Tyrann Mathieu is one of the best safeties in the NFL. So his addition is huge.

The offense should post one of the league’s better receiver units. Michael Thomas finally returns form an injury, Chris Olave will be a rookie of the year candidate, and Jarvis Landry catches everything thrown his way.

The San Francisco 49ers win the NFC West

The San Francisco 49ers play in what last season was the deepest division in pro football, the NFC West. Seattle and Arizona were legit playoff teams. The Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl. This season, the division isn’t nearly as deep. Questions surround the Cardinals and quarterback Kyler Murray.

Seattle has entered a rebuilding phase after Pete Carroll sent Russell Wilson to Denver. Even the Rams could take a backward step after defensive end Von Miller decided to bolt for Buffalo.

If the Rams do take the backward step, the San Francisco 49ers will be there to claim the NFC West crown. San Francisco has a good problem in the sense that they boast, at least for now, a couple of starting quarterbacks in Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance.

Not only that, but the defense should continue to be one of the best in the NFL. San Francisco has a real shot to overtake the Rams and win the West.

Las Vegas makes the playoffs

The AFC West has taken over the moniker as the NFL’s deepest division. The Kansas City Chiefs will be a good team. So will the Denver Broncos and so will the Los Angeles Chargers. KC, the Broncos, and the Bolts have gotten so much attention that the Las Vegas Raiders are flying under the radar.

But here’s the thing. While the Raiders’ opponents improved by signing or drafting great players, Vegas improved by not only acquiring a great player, but also by hiring a great head coach. Josh McDaniels, the Patriots’ former offensive coordinator, will get the most out of quarterback Derek Carr.

McDaniels is a winner and his style of coaching should work perfectly for the Las Vegas Raiders, which is why one of our top early betting predictions is that Las Vegas makes the playoffs.

Raider Davante Adams leads the NFL in receiving yards

Adams wanted out of Green Bay. The best wide receiver in the NFL got his wish when the Packers shipped Adams to Vegas. Davante reunites with quarterback Derek Carr. The pair played together at Fresno State. No doubt, Davante Adams is going to have a great season.

It’s not that Carr is close to being as good as Packers quarterback than Aaron Rodgers. It’s that Adams and Carr will be on the same page and McDaniels is calling the plays. Don’t be surprised when Davante Adams leads the league in receiving yards.
