Detroit Lions vs. New York Jets
- When: Sunday, December 18th, 2022. 1:00pm EST.
- Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
- NFL Odds: Lions (-0.5) // Jets (+0.5)
After a nice 31-10 victory over the Bears, Mike White and the Jets have since lost two straight. We can forgive the last loss, a defeat to the Bills in Buffalo.
The Jets’ recent struggles, and the Lions’ win against Minnesota in week 14, are the main reasons Detroit is a road chalk. But the Lions haven’t faced a defense as good as New York’s. On their field, J-E-T-S prevails.
2022 NFL Week 15 Pick: New York Jets
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Carolina Panthers

- Where: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC
- NFL Odds: Steelers (+2.5) // Panthers (-2.5)
It won’t matter if Kenny Pickett or Mitch Trubisky plays quarterback for the Steelers. The Panthers are in excellent form, winning two straight, covering in four straight, and covering in 6-of-7.
Sam Darnold has settled in nicely in the starter’s role under center. Carolina blows past the spread.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
- When: Sunday, December 18th, 2022. 1:00pm EST.
- Where: TIAA Bank Field, Jacksonville, FL
- NFL Odds: Cowboys (-4.5) // Jaguars (+4.5)
For some reason, the Cowboys had to rally to beat the Houston Texans 27-23. Things shouldn’t get easier for the Boys.
Jacksonville looked great smashing the Tennessee Titans. Beating Dallas will be more difficult, but Jags’ QB Trevor Lawrence has gotten into a groove and the defense is playing well. Jacksonville keeps the score difference to a field goal.
2022 NFL Week 15 Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars
New England Patriots vs. Las Vegas Raiders
- When: Sunday, December 18th, 2022. 4:05pm EST.
- Where: Allegiant Stadium, Paradise, NV
- NFL Odds: Patriots (-1) // Raiders (+1)
Las Vegas blew their chance at a fourth straight victory. The Raiders had their game in the bag but couldn’t stop Baker Mayfield, a player they are somewhat familiar with having seen Baker when he was with the Browns.
On Sunday, the Raiders must contend with a decent Patriots squad. It’s going to be tough for Josh McDaniels to outcoach Master Bill. Pats get the win and cover.
2022 NFL Week 15 Pick: New England Patriots
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- When: Sunday, December 18th, 2022. 4:25pm EST.
- Where: Allegiant Stadium, Paradise, NV
- NFL Odds: Bengals (-3.5) // Buccaneers (+3.5)
Tampa is in total disarray. Having trouble scoring against the San Francisco 49ers’ defense is one thing.
Allowing Brock Purdy and the Niners offense to dominate is another. Cincinnati is rolling, the Bengals have won 8-of-10 and have covered in 9-of-10. So Joe Cool leads Cincy to a win and cover against the the Terrific One and the Buccaneers.
2022 NFL Week 15 Pick: Cincinnati Bengals
Tennessee Titans vs. Los Angeles Chargers
- When: Sunday, December 18th, 2022. 4:25pm EST.
- Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
- NFL Odds: Titans (-3.5) // Chargers (+3.5)
It’s so difficult to go against Tennessee in this spot but the Titans have so many injuries. The offensive line is a mess. The secondary is down to third string players.
The Bolts have key players injured as well. However, Mike Williams and Keenan Allen should play, which means the Chargers are the team to back to win and cover.
2022 NFL Week 15 Pick: Los Angeles Chargers
New York Giants vs. Washington Commanders
- When: Sunday, December 18th, 2022. 8:20pm EST.
- Where: FedEx Field, North Englewood, MD
- NFL Odds: Giants (+4.5) // Commanders (-4.5)
The last time these two faced off the game ended in a 20-20 draw. Washington hasn’t played since then while the Giants lost to Philadelphia 22-48.
This game happens in D.C. where Washington should have an edge. The point spread is too much, though. At -3, Washington is the play. At -4.5, we have to go with the G-Men to cover.
2022 NFL Week 15 Pick: New York Giants
Los Angeles Rams vs. Green Bay Packers
- When: Monday, December 19th, 2022. 8:15pm EST.
- Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
- NFL Odds: Rams (+7) // Packers (-7)
Forget Baker Mayfield for a moment. Yeah, sure, Baker provided one of the most improbable pro quarterback performances in NFL history.
But Mayfield isn’t the story in this. The Packers are 5-8 ATS overall and have gone 3-7 ATS in their last 10. Laying a touchdown and extra point on a team that hates covering spreads doesn’t often lead to betting success.
