Dolphins Come Back from Huge Deficit in Week 2 Against Ravens

By Jeff Stinger

Week 2 of the 2022 NFL season was as drama-filled as its predecessor, and one particular game from the early-afternoon window of the schedule stood out.

The Miami Dolphins clawed their way out of a 21-point hole entering the fourth quarter of their match against the Baltimore Ravens and came away with a stunning 42-38 victory. Jaylen Waddle hauled in a tight seven-yard touchdown catch from Tua Tagovailoa with under 15 seconds left in the contest for their first lead all afternoon and hung on for the win in the end:

Waddle and fellow streaky wideout Tyreek Hill finished with two TD catches apiece, as Tagovailoa had the best game of his NFL career with 469 passing yards and six touchdown passes. Tua’s performance overshadowed a similarly electric performance from Baltimore’s star QB Lamar Jackson. The former league MVP gave the Ravens finished with 318 yards and three TDs on 21-of-29 passing without a pick whilst also running for 119 yards on the ground, including this 79-yard sprint to the end zone:

Simply put, this Dolphins-Ravens showdown will go down as a strong candidate for the best game of the 2022 NFL season thanks to amazing offensive explosions by both sides.
