The 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic is the fourth installment of the tournament held in the Detroit Golf Club. Two Americans (Bryson DeChambeau in 2020 and Nate Lashley in 2020) and an Australian (reigning champion Cameron Davis) have won the event thus far in the first and only PGA TOUR-ssanctioned event in history.
A massive prize pool worth $8.4 million is at stake at the DGC this week. That’s up from the $7.5 million total payout from the previous year, which is in line with the significant prize money increases across most if not all PGA TOUR tournaments this season.
