2022 Coca-Cola 600 Recap

Last season, Denny Hamlin dominated at the Coca-Cola 600. Not only did Denny win the pole, but he also crossed the finish line first.

Kyle Busch followed Hamlin in second followed by Kevin Harvick in third and Chase Briscoe in fourth. Christopher Bell finished fifth and Tyler Reddick finished sixth.

Seventh place went to Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Michael McDowell finished eighth, this year’s chalk Kyle Larson finished ninth, and Alex Bowman rounded out the top ten.

Top Choice to Win the 2023 Coca-Cola 600

It makes sense to throw out the NASCAR All-Star Race. No doubt, Larson drove great, but drivers like the top choice don’t usually take the All-Star Race seriously.

Kyle Busch finished seventh at the Goodyear 400, the race right before the All-Star event. This season, Kyle has won twice, finished in the Top 10 six times and finished in the Top 5 three times.

He finished second in this last season while driving for Joe Gibbs. No doubt, Busch circled the Coca-Cola 600 when looking over this season’s schedule. For sure, Busch can out drive the +1100 odds and take the checkered flag.

Second Choice to Win the 2023 Coca-Cola 600

The 2022 Coca-Cola winner has begun to heat up, which is why the odds on Denny Hamlin make him the second choice after Larson.

In the last six races not counting the all-star event, Hamlin scored a fourth place finish at Martinsville, a fifth at Dover, and a first at Kansas. Even the twelfth at Darlington for the Goodyear 400 wasn’t bad.

Our second choice, and the second choice in the betting has a big shot. If you don’t like Kyle’s chances, consider backing Denny.

Third Choice to Win the 2023 Coca-Cola 600

Chris Elliott could end up in the winner’s circle on Sunday. Hendrick’s top driver suffered an injury that kept him on the bench for most of this season.

But Elliott has returned and made a splash. In the last three races, Chase has finished in the Top 10 three times and in the Top 5 twice.

Take Elliott seriously to win on Sunday. Also, consider the odds a bonus. If Chase does win on Sunday, no doubt, he’ll be one of the favorites every week.

Top Underdog to Win the 2023 Coca-Cola 600

Joey Logano finished eighteenth at Darlington. Before the eighteenth place at Darlington, Logano finished sixth at Kansas.

So Logano does have a shot. In last year’s event, Joey had a chance to finish in the top five, but he couldn’t get done. In the end, Logano ended up twentieth.

The top underdog choice is a pure odds play. Joey Logano is too good of a driver to offer +2200. Not only that, but around right now is when Logano starts revving up for the playoffs. Making Logano your top underdog play could be wise.
