New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills

• When: Sunday, December 31st, 2023. 1:00pm EST.
• Where: Highmark Stadium, Orchard Park, NY
• NFL Odds: Patriots (+580) // Bills (-833)

After a third straight win and fourth victory in their last 5, the Bills are due for a letdown. The letdown almost happened in a 24-22 victory over the Chargers.

New England has won 2-of-3. The Patriots lone loss in their last 3 came versus Kansas City on the road. If the Pats catch the Bills napping, a stunning, massive money line upset victory could happen.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Chicago Bears

Chicago has no shot of making the playoffs. So although the Bears are playing decent football right now, they could be in for a rough game versus an inspired Taylor Heinicke and Atlanta Falcons squad.

Also, Bears quarterback Justin Fields knows his days in Chicago are likely numbered. Atlanta has an outside shot to make the postseason. More importantly, the Falcons have better players on both sides of the ball.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Indianapolis Colts

Aidan O’Connell played awful in the win over the Kansas City Chiefs. So how did the Raiders go into KC and upset Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs? The defense stood tall.

The Colts fell apart in a 29-10 loss to Atlanta in NFL Week 17. We shouldn’t expect Gardner Minshew to rally the troops. O’Connell will have a better game because Indy’s defense made Taylor Heinicke look like the 2015 Matt Ryan.

Carolina Panthers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are a disaster. Jacksonville did nothing positive against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their last. There was zero effort. Zero heart.

Carolina plays hard. The Panthers won’t stop trying, and the Jags appear tired, worn down, and lack the enthusiasm required to be a playoff team.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Seattle Seahawks

• When: Sunday, December 31st, 2023. 4:05pm EST.
• Where: Lumen Field, Seattle, WA
• NFL Odds: Steelers (+150) // Seahawks (-179)

This is going to be an excellent game. Seattle boasts the best wide receiver in the NFL. Sure, Justin Jefferson at Minnesota, Ja’Marr Chase at Cincinnati, and CeeDee Lamb at Dallas can make the case.

But no wideout is as dominant as the Seahawks’ DK Metcalf. The man is Megatron x2. He’s that good. So Pittsburgh will have their hands full dealing with Geno Smith to Metcalf.

On the other side of the ball, the Seahawks defense will struggle to contain Mason Rudolph to George Pickens. On paper, this is an under game. Don’t be surprised if each team scores at least 24. The Steelers defense is better than the Seahawks. So Pittsburgh gets the ML nod.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs

• Where: GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
• NFL Odds: Bengals (+147) // Chiefs (-175)

Kansas City’s defense is great, but the offense is a mess. The Raiders had Patrick Mahomes evading the rush on every play.

Cincinnati could have Magic Mahomes running away from would be sackers on every play as well. Trey Hendrickson and Sam Hubbard are two of the top defensive ends in football. If Cincy quarterback Jake Browning doesn’t make mistakes and Joe Mixon get going in the run game, the Bengals can add to the Chiefs’ woes.
