As one of the better underdog stories of late, 43-year-old veteran Lucas Glover will be a sought-after sleeper pick to stun the rest of his field en route to a TOUR title. Since the start of July, the former US Open champion secured six top-six finishes; none bigger than pulling off back-to-back victories at the Wyndham Championship to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs followed by his win at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Although Glover did cool off with a 22nd-place finish in last week’s event, he’s still a superb dark horse worth backing this week, especially with a decent five-under-par headstart giving him a boost for the final tourney.
Tommy Fleetwood

Spending half of his time on the European Tour, we don’t often see Englishman Tommy Fleetwood make huge waves due to his relatively limited participation. However, the Southport native turned up the Jets starting in May, picking up four top-five finishes and six top-10s along the way. This is Fleetwood’s third appearance at the TOUR Championship, and it’s this experience in the FedExCup Playoffs that makes him a very compelling sleeper pick to finally win his first-ever PGA TOUR event and in the flashiest of fashions at that.
Sung-Jae Im
- 2023 TOUR Championship Odds: +10,000
Speaking of golf’s international stars with experience in the FedExCup Playoffs, few come close to the consistency of South Korea’s Sung-jae Im in making a deep playoff run to the final week of the season. The former PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year made the FedExCup Playoffs five times and reached the TOUR Championship in all five instances. History is also on Im’s side, as one golfer with a mere two-under-par advantage in each of the last five years has gone on to finish in the top five at East Lake. That being said, Im is a noteworthy sleeper pick to consider as well, especially given his relatively long odds that could eventually yield even more massive returns than the other options on the board.
