Iga Swiatek vs. Elina Svitolina

  • When: Tuesday, July 11, 2023

Svitolina has played great tennis during the tournament. Starting with Venus Williams, Svitolina has dispatched of four straight high-profile opponents: Williams, Elise Mertens, Sofia Kenin, and Victoria Azarenka. Elina is at the top of her game.

Save for losing a set to Belinda Bencic in the fourth round, Swiatek has rolled. Iga beat Lin Zhu, Sara Sorribes Tormo, and Petra Martic in straight sets. Iga is playing like who she is, the world’s number one ranked player.

Swiatek had dominated, but in her last, Belinda Bencic took the first set after winning a tiebreaker and then pushed for a tiebreaker in the second set.

It’s well-known that at times, Swiatek struggles on the grass. So Svitolina for sure could get it done. Backing the underdog, especially at the odds, makes sense.

Jessica Pegula vs. Marketa Vondrousova

  • When: Tuesday, July 11, 2023

Vondrousova is no joke. Marketa has lost a single set, to Marie Bouzkova in the fourth round, during the Wimbledon tournament. Not only that, but Vondrousova has beaten 3 straight seeded players. She can get it done in the quarters.

The 4-seed, Jessica Pegula has played like a Wimbledon champ. Pegula lost a set against Lauren Davis in the first round. Since then, she’s rolled to the quarterfinals, beating her other three opponents in straight sets.

This should be an ultra-competitive match. It could end up the most competitive on the women’s singles side, which mean Vondrousova is a good pick.

However, Jessica Pegula is playing lights out. The favorite in this dominated her last three opponents, not giving up a set in the process. Pegula prevails.

2023 Wimbledon Quarterfinals Round Pick: Jessica Pegula -147

Madison Keyes vs. Aryna Sabalenka

  • When: Wednesday, July 12, 2023

Up until her fourth round victory over Mirra Andreeva, Madison Keyes had blasted her opponents. Keyes beat Sonay Kartal, Viktorija Golubic, and Marta Kostyuk in straight sets. It required 3 sets to beat Andreeva, but that’s the only hiccup.

We know now why Wimbledon assigned Aryna Sabalenka the 2 seed. Sabalenka beat Ekaterina Alexandrova and Anna Blinkova in straight sets in her last two matches. Sabalenka appears to be getting stronger with every match.

Keyes is a good player, but she’s up against a seriously talented opponent in the quarters. Aryna Sabalenka has the talent to win the Wimbledon plate. We may not be able to say the same about Keyes.

So although Keyes has been playing well, she’ll require Sabalenka to take a backward step and that’s not going to happen. Aryna gets the nod.

2023 Wimbledon Quarterfinals Round Pick: Aryna Sabalenka -196

Elena Rybakina vs. Ons Jabeur

  • When: Wednesday, July 12, 2023

  • Full Preview: Click Here

Jabeur not only has a single title win this season, but she’s playing lights out over the grass courts at Wimbledon. Jabeur bested Bianca Andreescu and Petra Kvitova in her last two matches. The victory over 9-seed Kvitova came in straight sets.

3-seed Elena Rybakina lost the first set in the first round, but since then, she’s rolled. Rybakina was up 4-1 over Beatriz Haddad Maia in her fourth round match before Maia retired. So Elena should be well-rested heading into this.

This will be a tough match. But Ons Jabeur, the underdog, gets the nod. For starters, the odds make Jabeur an overlay.

Ons is playing great tennis. Jabeur has beaten the better opponents and she hasn’t struggled. When she’s at the top of her game, the underdog in this can take down any player she faces. Back Jabeur to cash.

2023 Wimbledon Quarterfinals Round Pick: Ons Jabeur +121
