Best 2022 Season NFL Prop Bets

By Hank Blaine

As the NFL season quickly approaches, we must turn our attention to one of the best ways to profit, future prop bets. Who will win NFL MVP, which wide receiver, running back, and quarterback will go for the most yards, and which team that oddsmakers have written off will make it to the playoffs? Check out this season’s top 7 money in the bank prop bets for the 2022 NFL Regular Season.

Top 7 NFL Prop Bets for the 2022 Season

New Orleans Saints to Make the Playoffs

  • 2022 NFL Prop Betting Odds: +120

Two of the seven props involve the New Orleans Saints. The first is that the Saints beat the Buccaneers and win the NFC South. New Orleans has taken down Tom Brady and the Bucs in four straight regular season games.

Coach Sean Payton retired, but other than that, not much has changed with New Orleans other than their offense should be much better this season and the defense will also be better. No team signed as many immediate impact free agents, WR Jarvis Landry, S Tyrann Mathieu, and FS Mark Maye, than the Saints. +120 are overlay odds on the Big Easy to make the NFL postseason.

Saints QB Jameis Winston Comeback Player of the Year

  • 2022 NFL Prop Betting Odds: +780

The Saints hope Jameis Winston plays back to his Heisman Trophy days at Florida State. The possibility that happens is a real thing. Winston is second choice to win the Comeback Player of the Year Award. Derrick Henry is the first choice, but Henry would have to post running back numbers that are close to Jonathan Taylor’s at Indianapolis.

It’s difficult to imagine Henry doing that. Instead, Winston will find it easy to unload the ball to a bevy of wide receivers. Michael Thomas will be healthy, Jarvis Landry has produced with every quarterback he’s played with in his career, and Chris Olave is an offensive rookie of the year candidate.

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel Coach of the Year

  • 2022 NFL Prop Betting Odds: +1975

The favorites are Brandon Staley with the Los Angeles Chargers and Brian Daboll with the New York Giants. McDaniel, the former San Francisco 49ers’ offensive coordinator, is the third choice. It’s difficult to understand why. Miami traded for Tyreek Hill, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa played well last season, and the defense is loaded.

McDaniel should have instant success. Yes, the Buffalo Bills play in the same division, but the Dolphins almost made the playoffs in 2021 and McDaniel is close to stepping into the offense genius category. The Dolphins make the playoffs and McDaniel wins the hardware.

Raiders QB Derek Carr Most Passing Yards

  • 2022 NFL Prop Betting Odds: +1450

Tom Brady is a +700 chalk, followed by Chargers QB Justin Herbert and KC star Patrick Mahomes both at +900. The best bet, the one that will cash, is on Derek Carr. The Las Vegas Raiders quarterback plays in the same division as Denver signal-caller Russell Wilson, Mahomes, and Herbert.

Expect plenty of quarterback duels in AFC West division games. Carr will win his share of duels because the best wide receiver in the league, Davante Adams, is a Raider.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor Most Rushing Yards

  • 2022 NFL Prop Betting Odds: +740

The Colts have a legit starter at quarterback in Matt Ryan. But Ryan is 37-years-old and Indinapolis doesn’t have a receiver target like Julio Jones, Ryan’s top pass catcher in Atlanta. Without top wide receivers, coach Frank Reich will again lean on the rushing attack. Why not? Jonathan Taylor is the best running back in the NFL. JT again leads the league in rushing yards.

Raiders WR Davante Adams Most Receiving Yards

  • 2022 NFL Prop Betting Odds: +2100

Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp is a possibility. But Kupp’s odds are lower than Adams, and Josh McDaniels now calls the plays in Vegas. McDaniels didn’t trade for Davante Adams to have Derek Carr hand the ball off to Josh Jacobs. Carr to Adams will be the top QB-WR pairing in the NFL this season. Expect both to lead their positions in yards.

Bills QB Josh Allen NFL MVP

  • 2022 NFL Prop Betting Odds: +1050
The Bills have a real shot to lose one or two games. If that happens, Allen will post unreal numbers. Buffalo’s quarterback is both one of the best passers in the AFC and one of the conference’s best running backs. He can take over a game and will do so plenty of times this season. Allen wins the MVP in 2022.
