Super Bowl 56 happens on Sunday, Feb. 13. The game between the Bengals and the Rams is the biggest betting event of the year. But that doesn’t mean that after the Super Bowl, we should all sit back in our recliners and give up on the season. 2022 March Madness Tournament

As soon as the Super Bowl ends, we all should turn our attention to the March Madness Tournament.

The NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament figures to have more drama than usual. Over at Duke, it’s Coach K’s final season. Gonzaga, like last year, is a power house, and the Pac-12 should field three Sweet 16 teams, USC, Arizona, and UCLA.

Conference tournaments start in the first couple of weeks of March. Before that, spend the next two weeks throwing money down on conference games as the top teams in the nation, including John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats, jockey for the highest NCAA Tournament seeds.

2022 NBA Playoffs

The 2021-22 NBA season hit its halfway mark. The trade deadline provided electrifying moments. With some of the best players getting primed to play an exhibition game, this also brings more excitement to the upcoming playoffs. The division standings are tight and teams start to pick up more intensity as they try to punch a ticket to the postseason.

The regular season closes on April 10, 2022, followed by the Play-In Tournament between April 12-15. The NBA Playoffs get going on April 16. The herd thins towards the first week of May where the Conference Semifinals begin. The Conference Finals take off on May 17 to determine which teams share the NBA Finals stage on June 2.

2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Hockey fans yearn for more action after two shortened seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully, fans are now treated to a full schedule packed with games in the NHL 2021-22 campaign. The regular season is in full swing and filled with games to bet on. Just over two months remain in the regular season, which is scheduled to close on April 29, 2022. This means that the Stanley Cup Playoffs would begin on May 2, with the last possible day of the tournament on June 30, 2022.

UEFA Champions League

The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 is underway. The first leg of matches goes down in the third week of February until the end of the month. Leg 2 of the Round of 16 happens between March 8 and March 17. This narrows down the teams to eight teams that will compete in the quarterfinals between April 5 and April 13, 2022. The first leg of the semifinals then takes off in the same month on April 26 and 27, with the second leg happening between May 3 and 4. Ultimately, the Champions League Final concludes in St. Petersburg Russia on May 28, 2022.

Kentucky Derby

The most popular Grade 1 Thoroughbred stakes race kicks off its 148th edition in 2022. This event is deeply rooted in the horse racing circle. First run in 1875, the 1 ¼-mile race features world-class racehorses and edge-of-your-seat action for sports fans and bettors. The Derby is held at Churchill Downs, Louisville, KY. TOUR Championship

The PGA Tour features 47 official tournaments in the 2021-22 calendar. The prize money for all tournaments amounts to over $480 million, which means plenty of money is on the line between the start of the season and the closing event. Concluding the schedule is the TOUR Championship. This is part of the FedEx Cup playoffs and happens from August 25 to August 28, 2028. Moreover, the event is held at the East Lake Golf Club, Atlanta, GA. The prize purse is set for over $70 million, with the winner’s share coming in roughly at $17 million.

NASCAR

NASCAR’s season officially kicks off on Feb. 20 when drivers rev their engines for the Daytona 500. That’s a week after Super Bowl 56. Put NASCAR on your betting schedule. Odds are always over even money and although it’s difficult to find winners, when you do, you can profit a lot.

Boxing and MMA

UFC has an event every weekend. Not only that, but upsets happen all the time at UFC. Boxing upsets don’t happen as often. However, you find some decent scores if you do your homework.

MLB in April

The 2022 MLB season is scheduled to take off at the end of March. A total of 162 games will be played in the regular season. The league is set to introduce interesting changes this year which could make the postseason format look different. Additionally, the MLB expanded its playoff field when the pandemic hit, but the playoffs reverted to the standard ten-team format in 2021. However, the word is not yet out regarding the expansion. The regular season ends on Friday, September 30. This is then followed by the 2022 MLB playoffs shortly after.

The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs are the favorites to win next year’s Super Bowl. The off season starts in March, meaning teams will begin signing free agents in about a month after Super Bowl 56.
