The best boxing action starts on Friday when Houston Alexander takes on Jason Fish in a top bareknuckle bout. Then on Saturday, Ryan Ford throws down against Bilal Laggoune, Yoka Toni is a favorite versus Martin Bakole, Jermall Charlo is a chalk against Brian Carlos Castano, and Kubrat Pulev takes on Jerry Forrest a favorite.. See below for boxing odds on NitroBetting, analysis, and free choices for Alvarez versus Bivol and four other top boxing matches, including a pair of bareknuckle bouts on Friday night.

Top Boxing Betting Picks of the Week (May 12th, 2022)

Bareknuckle Boxing

  • When: Friday, May 13 / Saturday, May 14

Houston Alexander vs. Jason Fish

Alexander is just 1-0. But Houston dominated his last opponent, Wes Combs, easily knocking out Combs. Jason Fish has more experience than either Combs or Alexander, which is why he offers decent odds. Fish knocked out Mike Bissett in his first bout. Then in his second bout, he beat Adrian Miles via TKO. In Fish’s third bout, he lost to Quentin Henry via KO. Fish is a good play to bounce back from his last. The bareknuckle brawler has more experience than Alexander and the chalk could enter this somewhat overconfident. Backing Fish makes sense.

Boxing Betting Pick: Jason Fish +140

Ryan Ford vs. Bilal Laggoune

Ryan Ford has a decent 17-7 record with 12 knockout victories. The knock against Ford is that all 7 losses have happened in his last 10 bouts. Bilal Laggoune is 25-3-2 with 14 knockout wins. Laggoune has lost 2 straight. One loss happened in 2020 and the other happened in 2021. The loss last year happened versus then 18-1 Jack Massey. Laggoune should have no trouble knocking Ford out before the final round.

Boxing Betting Pick: Bilal Laggoune -333

Tony Yoka vs. Martin Bakole

17-1 Martin Bakole has also won 13 of his bouts via KO or TKO. Bakole’s last loss happened in 2018 to then 14-1 Michael Hunter. Since fighting Bakole, Hunter has increased his record to 20 wins with the single loss, and a couple of draws. Hunter shows Bakole’s lone loss happened versus a top opponent. Tony Yoka is 11-0 with 9 knockout wins. But although the record is nice, all of the wins happened in bouts in France. Yoka has never fought someone with a resume like Bakole’s. The underdog has a shot.

Boxing Betting Pick: Martin Bakole +325

Jermall Charlo vs. Brian Carlos Castano

Charlo versus Castano should be an excellent boxing match. Charlo gets the benefit of the doubt because, well, we’re not sure why. These two threw down last July and it ended in a split-decision draw. Charlo’s resume isn’t any better than Castano’s. In fact, the underdog also shows a draw with Erislandy Lara, no easy feat. Castano is 17-0-2 with 12 knockout wins. He’ll make the necessary adjustments to beat Charlo while Charlo may not have the ability to make enough adjustments.

Boxing Betting Pick: Jermall Charlo -185

Kubrat Pulev vs. Jerry Forrest

Pulev last boxed in 2020. When he did, Anthony Joshua knocked him out in the ninth round. Pulev is no lock to beat Jerry Forrest on Saturday night. The chalk has a lot of wear on the tires, having fought 30 times with 2 knockout losses. Forrest is 26-4-2 with 20 knockout wins. After losing via unanimous decision to Carlos Takam, Forrest has drawn in his last couple of bouts versus Zhilei Zhang and against Michael Hunter. At the odds, Forrest is worth a look.

Boxing Betting Pick: Jerry Forrest +260
