Why Bet on the Los Angeles Chargers?
It’s been a rough couple of weeks for the Chargers. They recently fell at the hands of the Patriots, which gave the team its first two-game losing streak of the season. Nonetheless, head coach Brandon Staley looks to get his third road win of the season as they pay a visit to Lincoln Financial Field as the slight favorites.
After taking a massive 34-6 beating in their last road game, the Chargers’ average of yards allowed per game dropped. The team now averages 362.6 opponent yards per game (18th) and allows 25.3 opponent points per game (24th). Nonetheless, the persistent offense keeps the team competitive. As a team, the Chargers average 24.6 points per game (15th) and run 376.3 yards per game (12th).
We still don’t expect the Chargers to contest rushing plays well. The side ranks dead last in opponent rushes per game and opponent rushing yards per game. They don’t resort to rushing plays as much as the Eagles. The team records 104.4 rushing yards (18th) and allows 159.4 opponent rushing yards (32nd) per game.
The Chargers enter the game with a significantly healthy lineup. Only right cornerback Michael Davis is on the questionable list following a hamstring injury. Tevaughn Campbell is expected to take over the position if the starter fails to suit up in time.
Why Bet on the Philadelphia Eagles?
Meanwhile, the Eagles struggle to find their stride but now get a chance to secure their first two-game winning streak of the season. They recently secured their first 40-point game against the Lions. It’s also the second time the side held its opponents to a single-digit score.
The Eagles are one of the better scoring teams in the league. The team currently records 25.4 points (12th) and 348 yards per game (19th). Additionally, the offensive end utilizes the rushing play well. They record 131.6 rushing yards per game (sixth) and average 1.5 rushing touchdowns in eight games.
On defense, the Eagles also produce decent numbers. The unit holds opponents to 344.1 yards per game (ninth). We still see lapses when the side defends rushing plays, but it was great to see the team hold the Lions to 57 rushing yards in their most recent outing. As a team, they hold opponents to 123.5 rushing yards per game (24th).
Three starters that include wide receiver Jalen Reagor (ankle), right guard Jack Driscoll (thumb), and left defensive tackle Javon Hargrave (shoulder) are on this weekend’s questionable list.

Chargers vs. Eagles Expert Betting Predictions
The Chargers are the better team on paper and based on previous results, but we must remember that the team is coming off back-to-back losses that highlight mediocre performances. Moreover, they have to play another road game. At the other end of the spectrum, we see the Eagles coming off one of their best games of the season, and having home-field advantage plays to their favor on Sunday. The Eagles have a good chance of covering the spread and even surprise us with a win if everything aligns for head coach Nick Sirianni and his squad.
