Cincinnati Bengals Super Bowl 56 Wild Predictions

By Carlos Chacon

Saying that the Cincinnati Bengals’ journey to Super Bowl 56 has been a surprise is quite an understatement. Nobody foresaw that the Bengals would make it all the way to the big dance in Joe Burrow’s second season in the league and even after a devastating knee injury that cut Burrow’s rookie campaign short, all the more. That being said, we believe that Cincinnati still has many more shocking moments up its sleeve for Sunday’s season finale.

NitroBetting is ready to equip its bettors with the latest news, odds, and previews for the final game of the season. This time, let’s take a closer look at three wild predictions for the Cincinnati Bengals in their Super Bowl 56 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, as well as the latest NFL odds for the final game of the NFL season.

Joe Mixon Wins Super Bowl MVP Award

With relatively decent odds as (+4) underdogs to win Super Bowl 56, the Bengals are far from longshots at winning their first-ever Lombardi Trophy in franchise history. And not only do we predict a possible Cincy upset over the Rams, but it will be running back Joe Mixon who’ll take home the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Award and not headline-grabbing quarterback Joe Burrow.

Mixon has been quiet this postseason with only one rushing touchdown and average of 3.7 yards per carry. However, let’s not forget that the fifth-year back out of Oklahoma earned his first Pro Bowl nod this season after racking up over 1,200 rushing yards and 13 TDs. Los Angeles’ pass rush is quite frightening, which opens up the opportunity for Mixon to have a huge game on the ground and ultimately send Cincy to the summit of the NFL mountain on the strength of his performance.

Burrow Sacked Over Five Times Again and Still Wins

Speaking of Burrow and in relation to our prediction for Mixon earlier, the recently crowned NFL Comeback Player of the Year could be in for a long day at SoFi Stadium facing the Rams’ intimidating defensive front seven. We believe that Los Angeles’ pass rush will have a field day against the Cincinnati Bengals’ middling offensive line similar to the Tennessee Titans’ defensive nine-sack performance of Burrow in the Divisional Round.

But as we’d recall, the Titans still lost to the Bengals despite those nine sacks. Burrow’s poise under pressure still prevailed from such adversity and it was also Mixon who scored that game’s only touchdown against Tennessee, bringing our two wild predictions in full circle with Cincy’s running game being the real X-factor to the team’s success this Sunday.

Dozens of Harambe Fans in Attendance

A huge portion of the NFL fandom is siding with the Bengals for non-team-related reasons. As we’d recall, one certain western lowland gorilla from the Cincinnati Zoo that rose into internet notoriety and captured people’s meme-loving hearts in the process.

That gorilla is none other than Harambe, who was taken out by zoo officials after posing as a threat to a child that fell into Harambe’s habitat. Harambe’s death garnered a ton of sympathy from the online community. That being said, we wouldn’t be surprised to see tons of Harambe fans at SoFi Stadium this Sunday donning ape costumes or custom “Harambe” jerseys.

If there’s a hologram tribute from our beloved primate sending his congratulations to the Bengals with a Super Bowl win, we might just lose our collective minds and call this the best Super Bowl across the entire social media era, period.
