Why Bet on the LSU Tigers?

It turns out Brian Kelly was the perfect choice to turn around the Tigers. Kelly, like he did at Notre Dame, started the turn around by going out and finding quarterback Jayden Daniels.

The former ASU signal-caller blossomed into a Heisman Trophy candidate this season. Heading into the title contest, Daniels has thrown for 2,566 yards and 15 TDs. Daniels has rushed for 824 yards and scored 11 rushing touchdowns.

Kelly puts a lot on Daniels’ shoulder and more often than not, Jayden responds.

LSU’s defense isn’t on Georgia’s level. But the Tigers from Baton Rouge have a good enough defense to rank in the top 35 in most categories.

LSU allows 346.8 yards per game, ranking thirty-third. The Tigers rank thirty-fourth in passing yards allowed per and thirty-third in points allowed each game, 21.5.

The worst ranking is rushing yards allowed. Opponents rush for 143.4 yards per game versus LSU. Harold Perkins has had a decent season with 7.56 sacks. However, the Tigers have just 6 takeaways in 2022.

Why Bet on the Georgia Bulldogs?

Quarterback Stetson Bennett leads one of the nation’s top offenses. Bennett, the National Championship winning QB from a season ago, has thrown for 3,146 yards.

But stats don’t tell the whole story. It doesn’t even tell half of the story. Bennett is a true gridiron leader. The Dawgs respond to Bennett’s leadership, which is one of the reasons UGA averages over 39 points per game.

Georgia allows 270.7 total yards each game, ranking fourth in the category. Opponents struggle rushing the football.

UGA ranks first in the nation in rushing yards allowed at 79.5. Because Georgia is so good at stopping the run, opponents struggle to score. Teams average 11.5 points each game versus the Bulldogs, which ranks first in the nation.

LSU vs. Georgia Expert Betting Predictions

Anybody who saw LSU lose 38-23 to Texas A&M can’t feel good about the Tigers chances on Saturday. LSU couldn’t keep up and giving up 38 points to the Aggies is downright shameful.

However, Louisiana State gets close to 19 points to work with. Yes, Georgia’s defense is terrific but the Bulldogs haven’t faced a QB this good since taking on Hendon Hooker at Tennessee.

The difference between Hooker and Daniels is Hendon is a throw first QB who runs. Jayden is a runs first QB who throws. Daniels has an ankle issue but Kelly has listed him as probable.

If Jayden is one-hundred percent, UGA could be out of position when Daniels starts his runs. If that happens, LSU’s offense will move the football and score points. It will be tough beating Georgia in Atlanta but LSU covering the spread is a real possibility.
