Why Bet on the LSU Tigers?

A week after allowing Arkansas to score 31 points, LSU’s D allowed Ole Miss to score 55. The Baton Rouge Tigers beat Arkansas. LSU wasn’t so lucky against Ole Miss.

The problem is that Cornerback U is no more. For a long stretch, LSU produced NFL first round draft pick corners and safeties. But this group of LSU defensive backs are a mess.

Ole Miss QB Jackson Dart threw for 389 yards and 4 touchdowns. LSU also gave up a 6.5 per carry rushing average and didn’t sack or intercept Dart. By the end of the game, LSU had surrendered over 700 yards.

For a program known for it’s defense, the LSU Tigers rely almost exclusively on their offense to win games. Quarterback Jayden Daniels is terrific. Daniels has tossed 16 touchdown passes and for 1,710 yards to just 2 interceptions. Logan Diggs has emerged as the team’s top running back. Malik Nabors and Brian Thomas Jr. have first round NFL draft pick talent.

Why Bet on the Missouri Tigers?

Mizzou’s defense plays bend but don’t break. The Tigers hope to slow down offenses and if possible, force opponents into field goals.

Versus quality Big 12 squad Kansas State, the strategy worked to perfection. The D held K-State to 27 points in a 30-27 Mizzou upset victory.

Missouri’s front seven is very good against the rush. Teams that have scored against Mizzou have done so through the air.

Like LSU, Missouri relies on its offense to win games. Quarterback Brady Cook hasn’t posted Jayden Daniels like stats, but Cook has played well.

Brady has yet to throw an interception. Not only that, but the Mizzou gunslinger has thrown for 1,468 yards and 11 touchdowns. Senior running back Nathaniel Peat can move the pile. He’s short, 5’ 10”, but weighs over 200 lbs.

Wide receiver Luther Burden III has emerged as one of the SEC’s best. Luther already has 43 catches for 644 yards and 5 touchdowns.

LSU vs. Missouri Expert Betting Predictions

If we handicapped this game before the season started, there’s no way we’d consider backing Missouri on the money line. But the Columbia Tigers will field the much better defense.

,p>There’s no way LSU will stop Brady Cook and Mizzou’s offense. Missouri won’t stop LSU from scoring points, but Mizzou’s D could hold LSU to a few field goals instead of touchdowns.

That will be all Cook and the offense requires to pull off the upset victory. Missouri straight up is the play.
