Michigan State vs. Gonzaga

• When: Friday, November 11th, 2022. 6:30pm EST.
• Where: USS Abraham Lincoln, San Diego, CA

For the first time in what feels like forever, Tom Izzo’s Michigan State Spartans will enter the season unranked. Sparty has a tough game on Friday taking on the 2-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Mark Few’s team is loaded again. Drew Timme returns to man the middle and that should be enough for the Zags to win and cover in this game. Simply put, Sparty doesn’t have the roster to hang with the Zags.

Villanova vs. Temple

• When: Friday, November 11th, 2022. 7:00pm EST.
• Where: Liacouras Center, Philadelphia, PA

Jay Wright’s Nova squad lost a lot from last season’s Final Four team but that doesn’t mean Villanova won’t compete in the loaded Big East. The Wildcats boast a couple of senior guards in Caleb Daniels and Chris Arcidiacono who should ensure Wright’s team finishes in the top two in the conference.

It helps that forward Eric Dixon also returns. Temple won’t be a bad team this season. But Nova’s experience should take them to the win and cover.

BYU vs. San Diego State

• Where: Viejas Arena, San Diego, CA

BYU heads to San Diego State under the radar. The Cougars often play above their talent level. So we should expect the Cougs to give the Aztecs a run for their money. The key will be how well BYU handles senior guard Matt Bradley.

The Aztec leader averaged close to 17 points and over 5 assists per game last season. Bradley figures to step it up in SDSU’s first game. So if the spread doesn’t overvalue the Aztecs, laying the points on San Diego State will make sense.

Saint Peter’s vs. Seton Hall

• Where: Prudential Center, Newark, NJ

Seton Hall is often a tough team to deal with. However, on Saturday, the Pirates take on a St. Peter’s team riding high from a fantastic showing in the NCAA Touranment.

The Peacocks run three and sometimes even four guard sets. Senior guard Jayden Sadler averaged 11.1 points and over 3 boards per game. Sadler and his mates will ensure the Hall has a rough night.

Colorado vs. Tennessee

• Where: Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, TN

Colorado usually sends one of the better teams in the Pac-12 to the court. But the Buffalos should be up against it versus one of the best teams in the nation.

Tennessee returns four of their top five scorers, including forward Santiago Vescovi, a preseason all-SEC player. Senior guard Josiah-Jordan James will ensure Tennessee jumps into the top ten after an impressive win and cover on Sunday.

Arizona State vs. Texas Southern

If Marcus Bagley improves this season, he was pretty good last season, the Devils could upset Arizona, UCLA, and USC in the Pac.
