UConn Huskies vs. Xavier Musketeers

  • When: Tuesday, December 28th, 2021. 7:00pm ET
  • Where: Cintas Center, Cincinnati, OH
  • NCAAB Betting Odds: TBA

Both the Huskies and Musketeers have played well this season. UConn is 10-3 on the moneyline and 6-7 against the spread. Xavier is 11-2 straight up and 9-4 against the spread. The Musketeers head into this after a 71-58 loss to Villanova. Xavier should get back on track but the Musketeers will find it difficult to contain UConn player R.J. Cole. Huskies cover.

NCAAB Betting Pick: UConn

Tennessee Volunteers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide

  • When: Wednesday, December 29th, 2021. 9:00pm ET
  • Where: Coleman Coliseum, Tuscaloosa, Alabama
  • NCAAB Betting Odds: TBA

The Vols are on fire. Tennessee has won 7-of-8. The lone loss happened against a tough Texas Tech squad and it happened in overtime. The Volunteers have not only won 7 of their last 8, but they’ve covered the spread in 6-of-8. The two non-covers happened against Tennessee Tech and the overtime loss to Texas Tech. Tennessee heads into this after beating the previously undefeated Arizona Wildcats. Although the referees made some bad calls in the Vols’ favor, Tennessee did hold the Cats to under 75 points. The Volunteers will have a shot to win this straight up.

NCAAB Betting Pick: Tennessee

Baylor Bears vs. Iowa State Cyclones

  • When: Saturday, January 1st, 2021. 2:00pm ET
  • Where: James H. Hilton Coliseum, Ames, Iowa
  • NCAAB Betting Odds: TBA

The defending champions are again the top team in the nation. Baylor will head into their massive Big 12 game against Iowa State ranked first in the country. The ranking is well-deserved. Baylor is the best team in college hoops heading into the New Year. The Bears are 11-0 straight up and 8-2-1 against the spread. So even though Iowa State is 12-0 SU and 8-4 ATS and has home court advantage, Baylor is the pick.

NCAAB Betting Pick: Baylor

Villanova Wildcats vs. Seton Hall Pirates

  • When: Saturday, January 1st, 2021. 2:00pm ET
  • Where: Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey
  • NCAAB Betting Odds: TBA

On Dec. 21, Villanova broke a two game losing streak after beating Xavier 71-58. Nova takes on Temple on Dec. 29, a game they should win, before traveling to ranked Seton Hall. The Pirates allow 56.3 points per. Their defense isn’t as good as Baylor’s, which held Nova to 36 points, but it’s plenty good enough for a win and cover in this game. But Jay Wright may have discovered something in the victory over the Musketeers. Nova wins and covers.

NCAAB Betting Pick: Villanova

TCU Horned Frogs vs. Kansas Jayhawks

  • When: Saturday, January 1st, 2022. 5:00pm ET
  • Where: Allen Fieldhouse, Lawrence, Kansas
  • NCAAB Betting Odds: TBA

Kansas is the better team, and the Jayhawks do have home court advantage, but TCU has hit their stride. The 10-1 Horned Frogs have won and covered in 4 straight. Also, the public should pound Rock Chalk, which means Kansas will offer underlay odds. Texas Christian may not win. But like what often happens in Big 12 contests, the Horned Frogs should make this desperately close.

NCAAB Betting Pick: TCU

Michigan State Spartans vs. Northwestern Wildcats

  • When: Sunday, January 2nd, 2022. 2:00pm ET
  • Where: Welsh-Ryan Arena, Evanston, Illinois
  • NCAAB Betting Odds: TBA

Sparty is playing great. Michigan State is 10-2 straight up and 8-3-1 against the spread. On Sunday, though, MSU must travel to rival Northwestern. The Wildcats have gone 8-2 SU and 5-4 ATS. Northwestern can hang in this. Michigan State will find it difficult to pull away, which makes the Wildcats the play to win on the moneyline and cover the spread.

NCAAB Betting Pick: Northwestern
