New York Rangers vs. Ottawa Senators

The Rangers head to Ottawa hoping to break a 3-match losing streak. What’s disturbing is that NYR has lost 3 straight but show zero injuries, which means the team isn’t performing.

Ottawa is on a 2-match winning streak. The Senators followed up a 5-1 victory against Anaheim on Nov. 25 with a 3-2 overtime win against the Los Angeles Kings two days later. The Rangers aren’t playing well while the home team is. Ottawa gets the nod.

Vegas Golden Knights vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

After a disappointing 2021-2022, Vegas’ 2022-2023 has started much better. The Golden Knights boast a 17-6-1 record before their Thursday face-off versus the Pittsburgh Penguins. Vegas won their last match, a 3-2 shootout versus Columbus. Before a 1-4 loss to Toronto on Nov. 26, the Pens had won 5 straight.

Pittsburgh should be tough. However, the Penguins face the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday. The Canes could soften the Penguins up just enough for a Golden Knights’ victory.

Nashville Predators vs. New York Islanders

The Preds have a tough week. Nashville takes on Anaheim on Nov. 29, then on Dec. 1, they’re at New Jersey, which means Nashville’s match versus the Islanders is the second of a back-to-back.

The make matters more difficult for Nashville, the Islanders are on a 4-match winning streak heading into their game against Philadelphia on Tuesday. NYI should grab the home victory.

Scorching Toronto should have no trouble beating the San Jose Sharks in their Wednesday match. If the Leafs do secure the win, it would set up a huge battle against Atlantic Division rival Tampa Bay on Saturday.

The Lightning beat Toronto in the last head-to-head. But the game happened last May. The Leafs are in a better position than their rivals. So consider backing the road dog.

Washington Capitals vs. Calgary Flames

Calgary is the fourth stop of a six game road trip. The Capitals already lost at New Jersey. On Tuesday, the Caps are at Vancouver, then D.C. heads to Seattle on Dec. 1 before taking on the Flames on Dec. 3.

Calgary is in bad form, losing 3 straight before a Tuesday tilt versus the Florida Panthers. This season, Calgary isn’t dominating the Pacific like they have in the past. The Caps can pull off the upset victory.

Minnesota Wild vs. Dallas Stars

Although it’s still early, Wild versus Stars is an important matchup. Heading into their Thursday game versus Edmonton, Minnesota has won 3-of-4 with a loss. The Wild has beaten Carolina, Winnipeg, and Arizona. The lone loss happened against Toronto, which means Minny is playing great hockey.

Dallas takes on Anaheim on Dec. 1 but other than that match, the Stars have a relatively soft week. Expect the Stars to get the win.
