Top NHL Betting Picks of the Week (April 25th, 2022)
The NHL Playoffs start on Monday, May 2. The National Hockey League ends their regular season a few days before on April 30. Vegas Golden Knights vs. Dallas Stars

it could be a Stanley Cup preview. Colorado is favored to win it, while Washington probably doesn’t come out of the East but it’s certainly possible. In the last head-to-head, the Golden Knights beat the Dallas Stars 5-4. But although the Knights should be tough in this match, the Stars are the play. First, the previous face-off happened back on Dec. 21, 2021. Dallas is a much better team than they were then. Second, this happens on the Stars’ ice. Dallas wins.

St. Louis Blues vs. Colorado Avalanche

These two playoff bound teams haven’t faced-off since Oct. 28 last year. The Avs won that match 4-3. Colorado will also have the upper hand in this game. But the Avalanche don’t require a victory in this. In fact, Colorado could probably lose out and they’d still manage the top seed in the Western Conference. So expect the Avs to use this to give their bench players some time on the ice, which means the Blues pull off the upset victory.

Los Angeles Kings vs. Seattle Kraken

Heading into this game, the Kings are on a 4-match winning streak. During the streak, the Kings beat Columbus, Anaheim twice, and Chicago. The Blue Jackets, Mighty Ducks, and Blackhawks won’t scare anyone. But the Kings are hot. The Kraken have lost two straight entering this match. Ah, but Seattle dusted Los Angeles 6-1 i the last head-to-head. Give the Kraken the nod.

Calgary Flames vs. Minnesota Wild

Heading into the week, Calgary has won 4-of-5. The lone loss happened in a 5-4 shootout versus Nashville on April 19. Not counting their April 24 match versus Nashville, the Minnesota Wild have won 7-of-8. Their lone loss in their last 8 happened in an overtime game versus St. Louis on April 16. The Flames will be tough to beat, but Minnesota is playing for playoff positioning. So the Wild should grab the victory.

To maintain their playoff position, the Bruins must keep winning. The Leafs know this, which is why Toronto will be fired up to knock Boston from the postseason. This happens in Toronto. So the Leafs should be ready. Not only that, but Toronto won the last head-to-head 6-4. The Leafs win their final regular season game.

Last November, St. Louis dusted Vegas 5-2. The Blues have played great since then and will make the playoffs. Vegas has work to do this week to secure their playoff position. Don’t expect St. Louis to pull back versus the Golden Knights. Although The Blues are likely to have to play on May 2, this is on their court and a win could send Vegas to the offseason. Backing St. Louis in their final regular season match makes sense.
