Why Bet on the Ohio State Buckeyes?

Like in most seasons, Ohio State fielded one of the nation’s top offenses. The Buckeyes averaged 44.5 points per game, ranking second in the nation, behind CJ Stroud’s scintillating arm.

Stroud threw for 3,340 yards and tossed 37 TDs. Top rusher Miyan Williams had 817 yards and scored 13 rushing touchdowns.

Receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is impossible to contain. Marvin Jr. had 72 catches in just 12 games. He averaged over 16 yards per catch.

Ohio State’s defense was good, but not great this season. On paper, the defense looks great. The Buckeyes allowed less than 304 yards per game on average. Opponents scored less than 20 points per contest.

But Ohio State allowed Maryland to score 30 in their second to last game. Then in their last game versus rival Michigan, the Wolverines dropped 45.

Why Bet on the Georgia Bulldogs?

Quarterback Stetson Bennett was a Heisman Trophy Finalist. Bennett didn’t post amazing numbers, but he led an offense that averaged 39.2 points per game from 491.8 yards each contest.

UGA fielded an incredibly balanced unit. Bennett averaged 284.5 passing yards per. The Dawgs rushed for 207.3 yards each game.

UGA’s defense, like in every season, ranked in the top ten in most categories. The Bulldogs allowed 77 rushing yards per.

Opponents averaged 12.8 points each game. Quarterbacks averaged less than 216 passing yards. Total yards allowed averaged 292.1.

The Smiths, no relation, led the team in sacks and interceptions. Chris had 3 picks. Nolan had 3 sacks.

Ohio State vs. Georgia Betting Trends

  • Buckeyes are 1-5 ATS in the last 6 neutral site games.
  • Ohio State is 1-5 ATS in the last 6 games following a straight-up loss.
  • Over is 9-1 in the Buckeyes’ last 10 games overall.
  • Bulldogs are 8-2 ATS in the last 10 bowl games.
  • Georgia is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 neutral site games.
  • Under is 5-0 in Georgia’s last 5 bowl games.

Ohio State vs. Georgia Expert Betting Predictions

UGA’s defense stops the rush first. Georgia forces offenses to go to the pass. If that happens on Saturday, the Bulldogs should roll the Buckeyes.

But even if Ohio State’s offense moves the football, the Buckeyes’ defense will struggle. Ohio State allowed Michigan to rush for 252 yards. Quarterback JJ McCarthy threw for 278.

Stetson Bennett completes 68% of his passes. The Dawgs average over 207 rushing yads per. Also, this happens in Atlanta, so it’s a Georgia home game.

Ohio State’s defensive backs aren’t good. So Bennett should have an excellent game. On paper, it looks like OSU has a shot. But the Buckeyes allowed Maryland to score 30 and Michigan to score 45.

We can’t repeat that enough. Georgia should have no trouble covering the spread.
