Why Bet on the New England Patriots?

We had to wait before the Pats gained some traction this season. The team started the first few weeks with a 2-4 record, which they turned around to a seven-straight win streak. Their most recent victory features a low-scoring game against the Bills. The first three quarters proved to be testing for the team. Nonetheless, they dug deep and scored three points while keeping the Bills scoreless in the final quarter of the contest.

The Patriots are a defense-oriented team. But, Bill Belichick makes sure his team remains competitive on the offensive end as well. The team averages 26.9 points (eighty) per game. They have enough firepower to rattle the Colts’ rushing defense looking at previous results. As a team, the Patriots average 123.5 rushing yards (11th) and record 29.2 rushes (eighth) per game.

Defense is where the Patriots shine. They can put pressure on the Colts by closing in on passing opportunities. The team holds opponents to 195.5 passing yards (third). Although they give up relatively more rushing yards at 114.5 per game, the team manages to limit teams to 310.0 yards (third) per game.

Running back Damien Harris is on the questionable list after sustaining a hamstring injury in his last appearance. Rhamondre Stevenson is expected to fill in if the starter does not get the green light to play.

Why Bet on the Indianapolis Colts?

The Colts fell in the hands of the Buccaneers and Titans in their last two losses. However, the team did exceptional in their last six victories, scoring 41 points or more in two games and scoring 30 points or more on three occasions.

In their preceding contest, the Colts held the Texans to 57 passing yards and 84 rushing yards. This tops their 31-3 victory against the same team in Week 7. The hosts have improved their defensive statistics in recent weeks. As it stands, they now hold opponents to 21.8 points (tenth) per game. The AFC South team allows 111.8 opponent rushing yards and 230.2 opponent passing yards (12th) per game.

Looking at the team’s offense, we see a team more capable of producing threats from this end of the field. The Colts are one of the best rushing teams in the league. They average 151.7 rushing yards (second) per game. Passing is not their primary option, but the Colts manage to find 216.4 yards (22nd) per game. Overall, they find 368.1 yards (11th) per game.

What gives the Colts the slight edge coming into the contest is a significantly healthier starting lineup. All starters are locked in and ready to close in on division leaders the Tennessee Titans.

Patriots vs. Colts Expert Betting Predictions

This is one of the most exciting games of Week 15. But, the hosts get a slight advantage with the support of their home crowd by their side. On top of that, they have a healthier squad on tap. Their previous performances tell us that they have more offensive and defensive momentum on tap. Nevertheless, the Patriots are not going to make it easy for the Colts. This is their first and only meeting of the regular season. We don’t expect the visitors to hold back on Saturday night. Covering the spread should be doable for the Pats while maintaining decent winning chances if they keep the scoreline close.
