Why Bet on the Las Vegas Raiders?
The Raiders are in a rut right now, losing two straight games in a row against the Chargers and the Bears, respectively. In Week 4 and Week 5, the team was limited to a combined score of 23 points. This alone emphasizes offensive issues Rich Bisaccia and his squad face. As it stands, the team averages just 22.6 points per game and ranks 19th in the league.
After falling in the hands of the Bears, Derek Carr ended his night with just 206 passing yards and 22 of 35 throws. The quarterback also produced an interception but failed to impose his presence in the game. By the final whistle, the Raiders were held back to 259 total yards and 71 total rushing yards.
Defensively, Yannick Ngakoue did well to find 3 solo tackles and 2 sacks. However, the unit allowed the Bears to find 143 rushing yards in the game. Currently, the Raiders give up an average of 134.4 opponent rushing yards per game and rank 25th in the league. They also have one of the more erratic rushing numbers in the league at 78.6 yards per game and 29th place.
In their last three road games, the Raiders allowed 17 points or more. This has to improve if they want to challenge a Broncos team that recorded 19 points or more in their last three home games.
The absence of three defensive starters will make it tougher for the team this Sunday. Quinton Jefferson, Jonathan Hankins, and Cory Littleton are on the questionable list, tight end while Darren Waller did not participate in the team’s last practice session due to veteran rest days.
Why Bet on the Denver Broncos?
The Broncos find themselves in the same situation as their opponents after losing two games in a row. Their first loss of the season came by way of a 23-7 defeat to the Ravens, followed by a 27-19 loss to the Steelers. It was a significantly better performance for Vic Fangio and the squad in Week 5 despite not getting the results they wanted. By the final whistle, they trailed by only 17 total yards and even had the upper hand in passing 268 to 244.
In their first three contests of the season, the Broncos held their opponents back to 13 points each in the first two games. This was followed by another incredible performance that left the Jets scoreless, 26-0. At the time of this writing, Denver sits 24th in the league in yards per game at 357.8. However, what makes their offense effective is their fourth down conversion at 88.89% and is second in the league.
The Broncos can produce a threat on the rushing end and are currently eighth in the league at 4.6 yards per rush with a 41.40% rush play average. This is something that they should utilize considering the Raiders’ vulnerability in defending the rush play.
Several Broncos players are listed questionable for Sunday’s game, including running back Melvin Gordon III who currently deals with a hip injury. In addition, starting defenders Mike Purcell and Kareem Jackson might have to sit this one out due to injury. Should that happen, Vic Fangio needs to resort to DeShawn Williams and Mike Ford filling in for the nose tackle and safety position, respectively.

Raiders vs. Broncos Expert Betting Predictions
The Broncos take the upper hand in this one, but not by much. We expect the Raiders to give them a run for their money. With both teams coming from two consecutive losses, it makes the game a tough one to call. We can make a case for both teams, but the Broncos feature the more consistent offense of the two. Nevertheless, the Raiders can fight to cover the spread and keep their chances of winning on the table.
