Why Bet on the Las Vegas Raiders?

The Raiders lead the AFC West division with a 5-2 record. Their recent results feature a road victory against the Broncos and a home win against the Eagles, winning both games by 10 points or more.

We look forward to the Raiders getting to work on Sunday. Although the side does not rely heavily on rushing plays, they do well in other areas. The team records 393.3 yards per game (ninth). They also hold the second-best passing yards per game record at 307.9. These numbers are enough to put pressure on a Giants team that has difficulty keeping opponents at bay.

Defensively, the Raiders average 354.0 opponent yards per game (14th). Despite having trouble defending rushing plays, the side does well to limit opponent passing yards to 222.7 yards per game (ninth).

The road is clear for the Raiders this weekend. The rest of the team is healthy and no injuries will hold the team back from its full potential. Quarterback Derek Carr is pumped after producing 323 passing yards on 31 of 34 passing, two touchdowns, and an interception in their most recent outing against the Eagles.

Why Bet on the New York Giants?

The Giants only found success in Week 4 of the season, but still remain in a rut after losing three more games that bring their overall record to 2-6. Nevertheless, the side clings onto the third spot in the NFC East and gets a shot at improving their record this Sunday.

In their most recent loss, the Giants were three points away from tying the Chiefs on the road. Even so, losing by three points to the 2020 Super Bowl winners is good enough to lift the team’s spirits up.

On offense, the hosts now record 345.8 yards per game (20th) and allow 89.2 rushing yards per game (26th). These are by no means the best in the league, but we expect to see improvement come Week 9. Defensively, the Giants limit opponents to 368.6 yards (23rd) and 123.2 opponent rushing yards per game (23rd). Additionally, they do slightly better to limit opponent passing yards at 245.4 yards per game (17th).

Three starting wide receivers are on the Giants’ questionable list this weekend, which includes Kenny Golladay (knee), Kadarius Toney (thumb), and Sterling Shepard (quad). Devontae Booker is anticipated to fill the running back position in the absence of Saquon Barkley (COVID-19 protocol). Furthermore, weakside linebacker Lorenzo Carter is added to the questionable list following an ankle injury.

  • The Giants limited their opponents to 20 points or less in three of their last five regular-season home games.
  • The Giants are 4-6 in their last ten regular-season home games (4-6 ATS).
  • The totals went over in three of the Giants’ last five regular-season home games against the Raiders.

Raiders vs. Giants Expert Betting Predictions

The Raiders get the clear advantage in this one. They are well-rested and coming off solid results in the past few weeks. However, we shouldn’t overlook the fact that the Giants can cover the spread in this one. They put up decent numbers against the Chiefs and now get to play in the comfort of their home field. New York can make this interesting but expect the Raiders to control the pace from the get-go.
