Why Bet on the Seattle Seahawks?

At times in 2023, Seattle’s D has played excellent football. The Seahawks held the Browns to 20 points in a Seattle win, the Cardinals to 10 in a victory, and the Giants to 3 in a win. Even in a couple of Seattle losses, the Seahawks defense played great. Both the Rams and Bengals scored just 17 versus Seattle’s defense.

However, although Seattle’s defense has had moments of greatness, the Seahawks D has bombed in recent games. The Niners dropped 31, the Ravens scored 37, and even though Seattle beat Washington, the Commanders dropped 26.

Geno Smith’s performance this season is a far cry from how well he played in 2022. Smith has thrown just 12 touchdowns. The TD total wouldn’t be that awful if Smith hasn’t also tossed 8 picks. Part of the issue is pass protection. The Edgar Allan Poes sacked Geno 4 times. Nick Bosa and his mates floored Geno 6 times.

The rushing game hasn’t lived up to expectations. Zach Charbonnet, who will get the start over Kenneth Walker III in this due to Walker’s injury, averages 4.6 yards per carry, but in the last two games, Charbonnet has averaged 3.1 and 3.4.

The Cowboys defense remains one of the best in the National Football League. In their last 3 games, all wins, the Boys have allowed the Giants to score 17, the Panthers to score a TD and get a field goal, and the Commanders to score 10.

Micah Parsons is posting NFL Defensive Player of the Year stats. Parsons has 22 solo tackles, 11.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. Micah has 6.5 combined sacks in Dallas’ last four matchups. 24-year-old former Fresno State player DaRon Bland has turned into one of the league’s top cornerbacks. Bland has 36 solo tackles and 7 interceptions. Bland has defended 13 passes.

It’s difficult to make the case that Dak Prescott isn’t one of the top five quarterbacks in the NFL. Prescott has a 23 TD to 6 INT ratio. He’s completing over 70% of his passes and has thrown for 2,935 yards.

Most of Dak’s throws go to WR1 CeeDee Lamb. The former Oklahoma Sooner college star already has 78 catches for 1,066 yards. Lamb has also caught 6 touchdowns.

Tony Pollard has proven he’s an every down back. Pollard has scored 4 rushing TDs, racked up 669 yards, and is averaging 4.2 yards per. Tony has also caught 10 passes in Dallas’s last two games.
