Why Bet on the Pittsburgh Steelers?
After topping the AFC Conference with a 12-4 record last season, the Steelers proved their dominance once again in their first two preseason games. They took down the Eagles 24-16, with Dwayne Haskins at the helm in Week 2 of the preseason. The 24-year-old quarterback recorded 161 yards on 16-of-22 pass completions.
He continues to prove his worth to the team, while Mason Rudolph provides much-needed support with 77 yards on 8-of-9 completions. At the same time, Rico Bussey Jr. showed up for his team with 45 receiving yards while Anthony Johnson had 38 yards and one touchdown. The Steelers followed that up with a 26-20 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 2.
Against the Lions, the Steelers got a huge boost from the presence of Ben Roethlisberger, who showed why he’s still the QB1 of the team. Big Ben completed 8 of 10 passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns.
Why Bet on the Carolina Panthers?
The Panthers will look to utilize Christian McCaffrey’s skills against the Steelers but expect his playing time to be limited. Carolina has a dangerous offense with the 25-year-old on the field. Last season, the running back recorded 76 touches, 374 all-purpose yards, and six touchdowns in three games. More than that, the rest of the squad look forward to improving on their 5-11 record from last year Rhule heads into his second year with the team.
Although the team is yet to show its full potential, it’s clear that the defensive unit of the Panther still needs work. This clash against the Steelers is a great way to find weak points and at the same time put light on player combinations that work well on the field.
In their last game, Clay Johnston led the defense with 6 solo tackles, while Josh Bynes recorded four solo tackles. The team took a beating in their previous game against the Ravens, but Will Grier was able to throw 144 yards on 11-of-14 completions. If he can repeat this performance, the Panthers could stand a chance against the Steelers.

Steelers vs. Panthers Expert Betting Predictions
The upper hand goes to the Steelers this time, following a two-game winning streak in the preseason. Mike Tomlin continues to do a great job with the team while utilizing his second and third-string players. However, the Panthers can take this one if they get too confident and start showing some slack.
There might be several opportunities for the team to cover the spread, and even threaten to take the game if they’re not too careful. With the home-field advantage on their side, this might just be closer than we anticipate it to be.
