Who is Mickey Guyton?

Guyton is a successful American Country Music Artist. She was nominated for a Grammy in 2020 for Best Solo Music Performance for her song ‘Black Like Me’. Guyton has performed the National Anthem before. Check out the YouTube video before handicapping the props.

First Note Sung to Last Note Sung

  • Over 104.5 seconds -120
  • Under 104.5 seconds -120

104.5 seconds is fairly specific. There’s no doubt, Guyton could sing under or over. It’s going to depend. But when she sang the National Anthem on PBS, she belted for a minute and 26 seconds. Singers can mix it up. But the difference between 1 minute and 26 seconds and 104.5 seconds is massive. A minute is 60 seconds. So 60 plus 26 equals 86. 104 minus 86 equals 18. Under sure looks like the play.

Super Bowl 56 National Anthem Pick:: Under

Color of Mickey Guyton’s outfit when she sings the anthem

  • Yes -180
  • No +135

When Guyton sang the National Anthem on PBS, she wore a yellow dress. It’s doubtful Guyton wears another yellow dress. She most likely won’t wear blue, either. Guyton is from Texas. So why wear Los Angeles Rams’ colors? Black is always a good choice, but this is the Super Bowl and black is always formal. White, although the chalk, offers excellent +230 odds. So we’ll go with white as the top pick.

The second pick is red. Guyton has performed in red before. Not only that, but red stands out and it’s part of the flag along with white and blue. So if Guyton doesn’t choose white, and she doesn’t go with blue to ensure she doesn’t give the impression she’s picking a side, red makes sense.

Super Bowl 56 Halftime Show Pick:: Over 8.5
