Kansas City Chiefs Offense
LG Joe Thuney – Questionable
This is one is big. It’s massive. If Joe Thuney can’t go, or if he isn’t one hundred percent, the San Francisco defensive line should have a much easier time pressuring Patrick Mahomes.
LT Donovan Smith can’t block Nick Bosa by himself. Thuney is likely to have double-team duties or to move to help out Smith. His absence could affect a lot of things KC wants to do on offense.
WR Skyy Moore – IR
Skyy Moore is on IR. The receiver hadn’t been getting looks from Mahomes much. So Moore’s absence won’t have an effect.
RB Isaiah Pacheco – Calf injury, playing through pain
If Pacheco isn’t one hundred percent, KC will have to adjust. Isaiah Pacheco is one of the best running backs in the NFL. Andy Reid will have a plan B just in case Isaiah can’t go.
RG Trey Smith – Illness, SB status pending
Smith should be okay. No word yet on whether he’s over the illness. But two weeks will have passed.
Kansas City Chiefs Defense
NDT Derrick Nnadi – IR
Derrick Nnadi’s is the most important injury for either team. Without Nnadi, the Chiefs may struggle to pressure Brock Purdy. Nnadi is also a good run stopper. So Christian McCaffrey could have a big game. Nnadi’s IR status more than any other injury could be the reason the line has drifted to San Francisco -2.
CB L’Jarius Snead – Calf but played against the Ravens
Snead is working through a calf issue. He will play, but he may not be one hundred percent. Snead’s injury could be another reason the Chiefs are now +2 underdogs.
San Francisco 49ers Offense
WR Jauan Jennings – Concussion, cleared protocol
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Jauan Jennings cleared concussion protocol. Jennings will play on Sunday.
San Francisco 49ers Defense
WR Jauan Jennings – Concussion, cleared protocol // LB Dre Greenlaw – Shoulder stinger, should play
Both Ambry Thomas and Dre Greenlaw will play. Greenlaw upgraded from questionable to no designation on February 4.
Don’t forget to double-check Wednesday’s injury report. Right now, only Thuney shows up with a designation, questionable, for any player on either Kansas City or San Francisco.
