On Monday night the Miami Dolphins hope to stay as the AFC Playoffs top seed when Tua Tagovailoa and his teammates host Will Levis and the Tennessee Titans. Oddsmakers have installed Tua and the Fins the massive -13.5 favorite. Tennessee got some good news this week that Derrick Henry will play. Will Henry’s abilities be enough for the Titans to keep any loss within the 13.5 points? Or will Miami roll over the Titans like what the oddsmakers and most NFL sports bettors expect? Keep reading for NFL odds, analysis, and a free pick for Tennessee at Miami.

Why Bet on the Tennessee Titan?

In their last couple of losses, the Titans D has folded early. Tennessee’s defense failed big time when allowing the Jaguars to score 34 points in a 34-14 loss.

Then in their last, the Colts got 31 in a Tennessee overtime loss. The Titans defense couldn’t hang with two decent but not great offenses, which the main reason oddsmakers believe the Dolphins blowout the Titans on Monday night.

Will Levis played okay in the game versus the Colts. Levis threw for 224 yards and a TD. He completed 5 passes to DeAndre Hopkins, who acquired 75 yards and scored a TD.

Although Levis completed enough passes for 224 yards, he was just 16-of-33, which is less than 50%. Levis will have a tougher time on Sunday versus a decent Miami defense that will be at full strength.

If Derrick Henry, who remains elite, can get it going, pressure will fall off of Levis. Henry’s rushing ability is the main reason to believe the Titans have at least some success against Miami’s defense.

Why Bet on the Miami Dolphins?

The Miami Dolphins’ defense is turning into one of the better units in the AFC. Unlike many other defenses in the league, defensive success for Miami starts in the secondary where the Dolphins boast the best pair of cornerbacks in the NFL.

Xavien Howard and Jalen Ramsey can both shutdown an opponent’s top wideout. Ramsey’s and Howard’s impact reflects in the defensive stats. The Dolphins allow 203.6 passing yards per game, ranking ninth in the league.

Defensive tackle Christian Wilkins and strong side linebacker Bradley Chubb lead the front seven. Both Wilkins and Chubb have scored 6.5 sacks this season.

Miami’s offense is one of the most effective in the history of the NFL. The Dolphins rank first in total average yards per game, passing yards per game, and second in both rushing yards per and points per.

The Dolphins score 32 points each time the offense steps onto the field. The 428.4 yards per that Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, and their buds amass each game makes the Dolphins the most effective team at moving the football.

If there is a knock, the Fins have had 19 turnovers this season, which ranks twenty-third.

Titans vs. Dolphins Expert Betting Predictions

This is a tough game to handicap because of the betting line. Massive betting lines on favorites don’t always translate to ATS victories. Often, the disrespected squad, i.e., the underdog, plays above their talent level and keeps a game close.

In addition, teams don’t play games to cover spreads. So if the favorite has the ball towards the end of the game, they’re more likely to run clock than they are to try and score.

However, although this is usually the case, Mike McDaniel’s Miami Dolphins team is all about posterizing their opponents. 6 of Miami’s last 7 wins have come via blowout.

A -13.5 spread is nothing to the Dolphins. Unless Henry runs wild and Levis turns into Steve McNair, the Miami Dolphins beat the Tennessee Titans by at least 18 points.
