Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals

• When: Sunday, Sep. 17 & Thursday, Nov. 16

The Cincinnati Bengals signed Orlando Brown Jr. away from the Kansas City Chiefs to play left tackle. If Brown Jr. continues his amazing play, the Bengals believe they can win the Super Bowl.

But Cincy had better pay attention to the division foe Baltimore before planning their Lombardi Trophy game trip. The Ravens signed Odell Beckham Jr., which means that for the first time in his pro career, Lamar Jackson has a legit WR1 to toss the pigskin to.

Bengals versus Ravens will be epic this season. The teams split their 2-game series.

2023 NFL Prediction: 1-1

Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills

• When: Sunday, Oct. 1 & Sunday, Jan. 7

The rivalries in the AFC East are intense. We could create any rivalry combination with the four teams this season and it would be a legit rivalry.

However, Dolphins versus Bills is shaping up as the top rivalry in the division. Buffalo almost lost a wildcard playoff game at home to the Tua Tagovailoa-less Fins last season.

Tua is back. He had success against the Bills in 2022, handing Buffalo their first season loss. This should be great with both teams winning on their home field.

New England Patriots vs. New York Jets/h3>

• When: Sunday, Sep. 24 & Sunday, Jan. 7

Ask any New England Patriots fan the team they hate the most, and they will say it’s the New York Jets. The J-E-T-S will concur that they detest the Patriots.

This season, for the first time in forever, the Jets can hang, maybe even surpass, the Pats. But Aaron Rodgers alone won’t lead to a sweep of the Patriots.

Bill Belichick has sneakily built one of the top five defenses in the NFL. If Mac Jones takes the next step, Bill O’Brien is the new offensive coordinator, the Patriots could be back to their dominating ways. A split is the call.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos

• When: Thursday, Oct. 12 & Sunday, Oct. 29

Sean Payton went to Denver for two reasons. First, Payton wanted to go to an organization that already had a great defense.

Second, Sean believes he can turn around Russell Wilson’s form. If both happen, the Broncos will split with Kansas City.

2023 NFL Prediction: 1-1

Kansas City Chiefs vs. L.A. Chargers

• When: Sunday, Oct. 22 & Sunday, Jan. 7

We’d write that Kansas City sweeps the Chargers and wins both games, but it’s difficult because the Chiefs go from Orlando Brown Jr. starting at left tackle to Donovan Smith.

A few years ago, Smith was one of the best left tackles in football. Smith is 30, though, and comes off a subpar season. The Chargers defense will take advantage in at least 1 game.

Now, let’s take a look at some individual rivalry matchups you should consider this 2023 NFL season.

Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs

• When: Sunday, Oct. 10

Josh Allen versus Patrick Mahomes isn’t Tom Brady versus Peyton Manning yet, but it’s getting there.

Because this game happens in Kansas City, the Chiefs have an edge. However, during the regular season, the Bills are difficult to beat. Also, Buffalo’s defense is solid. So we’re calling the upset.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs

• When: Sunday, Dec. 31

Joe Burrow had Kansas City’s number in most games, even though he played behind a mediocre offense line. Brown Jr. makes the Bengals’ O-line one of the best in the league.

Also, Cincy usually peaks around mid-December. Joe Cool and the Bengals get the win.

2023 NFL Prediction: Bengals

Buffalo Bills vs. Cincinnati Bengals

• When: Sunday, Nov. 12

This will be a friendly rivalry match. The Dahmer Hamlin incident brought these two teams together in a way rarely seen in sports.

Hamlin will play this season. So we should expect a huge ovation for Dahmer before this one starts. As far as the game is concerned, the Bengals are the better team. So Cincinnati wins.
