UFC 275 Main Card Preview

Jack Della Maddalena vs. Ramazan Emeev

This welterweight fight projects as one of Saturday’s most competitive main card events. Jack Della Maddalena has an 11-2 record. The favorite hasn’t lost since a 2016 bout agianst Darcy Vendy.

Underdog Ramazan Emeev is 20-5. Emeev lost his last bout via split-decision. Emeev can turn it around in this. He has a 3-inch reach advantage and is 7-1 via submission bouts and 3-1 via TKO and KO.

UFC 275 Pick: Ramazan Emeev

Rogerio Bontorin vs. Manel Kape

Kape bring a 17-6 record into this. The favored mixed-martial-artist has won two straight. Last August 7 at UFC 265, Kape knocked out Ode’ Osbourne in the first round. The -230 choice beat Zhalgas Zhumagulov via first-round knockout in his last fight. Also, Kape is 11-0 in TKO or KO wins.

Rogerio Bontorin has a decent 16-4 record. But the underdog hasn’t won since 2019. Bontorin has lost 3 of his last 4 with a no contest draw. Kape should make quick work of Bontorin. Don’t be surprised if this ends in a first round knockout.

UFC 275 Pick: Manel Kape

Zhang Weili vs. Joanne Jedrzejczyk

Former champion Zhang Weili hopes to get back on the winning track. Weili has a very good 21-3 record. 2 of Weili’s 3 losses happened in her last couple of fights, both versus Rose Namajunas.

Jedrzejczyk is 16-4. The underdog in this hasn’t fought since March 2020 when Zhang Weili beat her via a split decision. Jedrzejczyk must contend with the layoff while Weili barely lost to Namajunas in her last bout. The favorite wins.

UFC 275 Pick: Zhang Weili

Valentina Schevchenko vs. Taila Santos

Based on the odds, Valentina Schevchenko should easily defend her belt versus Taila Santos. But before backing Schevchenko at the low odds, it’s important to know that Santos is 19-1 and has physical advantages over Valentina.

Taila is an inch taller and has a 1 ½ inches reach advantage. Shevchenko should win, but the odds imply she’s a lock. The favorite isn’t while the underdog could surprise.

UFC 275 Pick: Taila Santos

Glover Teixeira vs. Jiri Prochazka

Champion Glover Teixeira offers decent odds to defend his belt against Jiri Prochazka. Teixeira won the UFC Light Heavyweight Title in his last match, a surprising submission victory over Jan Blachowicz. The champ hasn’t lost since 2018. On Saturday night in Singapore, though, Teixeira is up against it.

Jiri Prochazka is on a 13 match winning streak. He’s won 12-of-13 via knockout or technical knockout. Prochazka has won 10 straight via KO or TKO. Not only has Prochazka dominated his opponents, but he’s also an inch taller than Glover and has a 4-inch reach advantage. The chalk looks tough

UFC 275 Pick: Jiri Prochazka
