Green Bay Packers

  • Odds to Win 2022 NFC North Division Title: -200

Even with the departure of beloved wideout Davante Adams, Green Bay is still the cream of the NFC North crop, in the experts’ eyes and odds-wise alike. After all, the face of the franchise Aaron Rodgers is coming off back-to-back NFL MVP wins and is still widely regarded as a top-five NFL quarterback. Couple the Packers’ dominance with the rest of the NFC North often underachieving in their wake, and the boys from Lambeau are rightfully favored to remain atop the division in 2022.

Minnesota Vikings

  • Odds to Win 2022 NFC North Division Title: +275

Credit goes to Minnesota for having a relatively solid draft in April by spending two early picks on young talent for their defensive secondary. Georgia safety Lewis Cine and Clemson cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. are worthy additions as rookies coming from reputable programs. Let’s not forget that the Vikings’ offense still features the one-two punch of Justin Jefferson in the air and Dalvin Cook on the ground.

If the defense sees a significant improvement this season under first-year head coach Kevin O’Connell, the Vikes might just find themselves lording over the NFC North for the first time in half a decade.

Detroit Lions

  • Odds to Win 2022 NFC North Division Title: +900

Another NFC North franchise that deserves some praise for its culture is Detroit, where head coach Dan Campbell’s passion and motivational skills led the team to a strong late-season push the previous year. The Lions have a superb cornerstone to build around in generational rookie defensive end Aidan Hutchinson out of nearby Michigan, and the offense looks bright as well with wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown breaking out during his own 2021 rookie campaign. If quarterback Jared Goff rediscovers his winning form during his peak in Los Angeles, the Lions could very well pay off as a sweet sleeper pick to win the AFC North.

Chicago Bears

  • Odds to Win 2022 NFC North Division Title: +1200

Another NFC North team that underwent a coaching change is Chicago, with former Colts offensive coordinator Matt Eberflus replacing Matt Nagy. However, unlike the Vikings and Lions, the Bears are headed in the opposite direction and are tuning up for a massive rebuild.

They shipped stud linebacker Khalil Mack for draft picks and Justin Fields received little to no help in the passing game further develop his game under center. Da Bears do have a decent return on the odds as longshots to win the division, but are likely to hibernate in the basement of the standings for the majority of the 2021 NFL season.
