2022 BMW Championship Recap
Patrick Cantlay shot a fantastic -14 to finish in first place. Scott Stallings finished a surprising second place with a -13. Xander Schauffele and Scottie Scheffler finished a tied third with -11 scores.
Corey Connors, K.H. Lee, and Adam Scott shot a -10. This year’s BMW Championship favorite, Rory McIlroy, shot a -9.

The world’s fourth ranked golfer almost pulled off the FedEx St. Jude Championship win. Patrick Cantlay finished second to Glover after shooting a 68-67-66-64. Cantlay’s -15 at the St. Jude should set him up well for a repeat BMW Championship try.
Also, the odds aren’t bad. Rory is at +900, Scottie offers odds that make him unplayable, and Rahm hasn’t done much in the past month. At the odds, Patrick is a fair play to pull off the back-to-back BMW Championship wins.

Viktor Hovland is gearing up for a nice tournament. Our second choice is in excellent form. He finished twenty-fifth at The Genesis Scottish Open.
Then in the next, The Open Championship, Viktor scored a thirteenth. Hovland followed up the thirteenth at The Open with a thirteenth at the FedEx St. Jude.
For Hovland, the key is Thursday’s round. Viktor shot a 73 on Thursday at the Genesis, a 70 on Thursday at The Open, and a 72 last Thursday at the St. Jude. If Hovland can shoot under par on Thursday, he’ll have a big shot to win on Sunday because his Friday, Saturday, and Sunday form has been excellent.
2023 BMW Championship Third Pick
Not only did Xander Schauffele finish third at the 2022 PGA BMW Championship, but Schauffele has played well in the last couple of tournaments.
First, Xander finished a great seventeenth at The Open Championship. Then at the St. Jude last week, Schauffele finished twenty-fourth. Two straight top 25 finishes means Schauffele’s hitting well enough to be in contention on Saturday and Sunday.
Xander is another we must consider. We’ve got him third because the form isn’t as impressive as Cantlay’s and Hovland’s. But Schauffele can for sure win this.
2023 BMW Championship Underdog Pick
35-to-1 on the hottest golfer on the planet? Sure, the chances of Lucas winning a third straight tournament aren’t great.
But we’re getting 35-to-1 odds. Glover is playing out of his mind right now. So if his swing is consistent, it’s impossible to see him finishing out of the top ten.
A golfer that should finish in the top ten offering odds higher than 20-to-1 is an overlay. Glover is a great underdog to win the BMW Championship.
