Tulane Green Wave

The Green Wave went 10-2 during the regular season in 2022. The lone losses came against Southern Miss and UCF.

Tulane returns the core of their AAC winning team, including quarterback Michael Pratt, a Heisman Trophy contender. Also, Cincinnati, Houston, and UCF now play in the Big 12.

LSU Tigers

Jayden Daniels, the best quarterback in the SEC, is back. So is linebacker Harold Perkins Jr., maybe the best LB in college football.

Brian Kelly did a good job building depth via recruiting and the transfer portal. LSU has a more difficult schedule than other SEC contenders, but even if the Tigers fall to Alabama and Florida State, they will go 10-2.

Georgia Bulldogs

Only one opponent on Georgia’s schedule poses danger. The Dawgs battle the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville on Nov. 18. But other than the Vols, no other team on the schedule should give UGA trouble.

Georgia mustn’t play Alabama or LSU. The Dawgs get Ole Miss and Kentucky in Athens. Their first four opponents are UT-Martin, Ball State, South Carolina, and UAB. 10 wins is a sure thing.

USC Trojans

The Trojans have a tough schedule, but USC projects to win 10 games. Beating Notre Dame on the road is never easy. USC, though, is much better than the Golden Domers this season.

Utah could be a loss. So could Washington. But a Nov. 11 game versus Oregon in Autzen should go USC’s way. The Trojans are a 10-win team.

Florida State Seminoles

On paper, the schedule looks difficult. But other than a first game battle versus LSU and a trip to Death Valley to take on Clemson, quarterback Jordan Travis and his mates should be good for 10 wins.

Boston College, Wake Forest, Pittsburgh, and Florida, FSU’s road opponents in addition to Clemson this season, are mediocre. So the Seminoles get 10 victories in 2023.

Washington Huskies

Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. can win the Heisman Trophy. He’ll be the reason the Washington Huskies win 10 games in 2023.

Also, the schedule isn’t as daunting as some might believe. Beating USC in SoCal won’t be easy. But Oregon and Utah travel to Olympia. Washington figures to beat two of those three heavyweights.

Texas Longhorns

Winning 10 games in the Big 12 is never easy. However, Texas is, by far, the conference’s best squad. Oklahoma shouldn’t pose an issue.

Alabama might be a loss, but Texas almost beat Bama last season and Bryce Young is now a Carolina Panther. If Texas gets by Bama, the next toughest game could be Kansas State at home on Nov. 4. The Longhorns have no excuses not to win 10 games this season.

Utah Utes

Utah has a tough schedule but star quarterback Cam Rising returns. Rising will be solid like he has been the past couple of seasons.

Also, the defense will be good. The schedule is difficult, but the Utes will have more experience than most of their opponents. For Utah, 10 wins happens.
