Why Bet on the Montreal Canadiens?

Many will say Carey Price saved them and he was indeed part of that. But the rest of players on the squad had much to do with that comeback. Much so that Game 5 and Game 6 went into overtime in order to get those victories. If they go into this series with that same mentality from the last few games in Round 1, we could see Montreal taking the lead early.

We can’t go without mentioning Carey Price. He has been brilliant and the last three games were proof of that. He finished the series against the Maple Leafs with a save percentage of .932 and a GAA of 2.24. All of this happened with just four games during the regular season, since he was out due to injury. The playoffs seemed to suit him well, as the pressure hasn’t made him stumble.

Why Bet on the Winnipeg Jets?

After taking down the Edmonton Oilers in just four games, the Winnipeg Jets come into the matchup well rested. And well deserved after the last two games went into overtime. This will definitely benefit them in the start, as Montreal will barely have any room to rest from their last series which ended on Monday.

Connor Hellebuyck will be facing off with Price. He’s had a good postseason as well, winning six straight starts, and that’s including their recent beatdown against the Oilers. In the 4-0 sweep, he averaged 1.60 GAA and had a save percentage of .950. So you can see that both goalies will bring plenty of stoppage to the puck.

Canadiens vs. Jets Betting Trends

  • The Canadiens are 4-8 SU in their last 12 games.
  • The Canadiens are 3-7 SU in their last 10 games against Winnipeg.
  • The totals went under in 4 of Montreal’s last 5 games.
  • The Jets are 6-0 SU in their last 6 games.
  • The Jets are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games at home.
  • The totals went over in 6 of Winnipeg’s last 7 games against Montreal.

Canadiens vs. Jets Expert Betting Predictions

Everybody will be watching the goalies tonight. No doubt. They are two of the top goaltenders right now. But if there’s one thing that will come into play, it will be rest. The Jets have this advantage over the Canadiens, plus the fact that they’re playing at home. I’m not saying Montreal can’t do what they recently did again, but the offensive line for the Jets is far better the Habs. It will be an interesting Game 1.
