Quarterback remains the single most important reason teams win championships. Texas should have a star QB in Arch Manning. But Peyton’s and Eli’s nephew is a freshman. So when it comes to LSU or Texas, the Tigers are the better pick to win the title.

So it’s been a good ew weeks for Mike Norvell and the Seminoles. The real reason to make FSU the third pick to win the 2024 CFP National Championship is because, yes, you guessed it, their starting quarterback returns.
Jordan Travis, like Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams, can win the Heisman Trophy. Norvell recruited Hykeem Williams, the third-ranked wide receiver in this year’s class.
The Travis to Williams connection should be one of 2023’s most electrifying combinations. Norvell also spent time transferring quality defensive players and bolstering the offensive line. The Seminoles are back.

The Washington Huskies quarterback Michael Penix Jr. will be 23-years-old when Washington kicks off for the 2023 season. His experience on and off the field makes him one of the best signal-callers in college football.

Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer spent his recruiting capital on shoring up the defense. If the defense improves at all, the Huskies will challenge Oregon and USC for the Pac-12 title.
From there, it’s just a question of whether the Huskies are good enough to win it all. At 40-to-1 odds, for sure Washington is worth a look to win the College Football Playoff National Championship.
