Possible Super Bowl LVII Matchups

By Hank Blaine

This early in the year, it’s tough to find the most likely Super Bowl matchups. On paper, Buffalo should have no trouble making it to the Lombardi Trophy game. But the Bills will face stiff competition in the playoffs. So instead of writing an article about the likeliest SB matchups, the following is about the most intriguing possible Super Bowl LVII matchups. Check it out.

Who Could Face-Off at Super Bowl LVII?

Dallas Cowboys vs. Buffalo Bills

Buffalo has lost four Super Bowls. All four losses happened in four straight seasons and, the stranger occurrence, all four losses happened against an NFC East squad.

But although the Bills fell to the Giants and to Washington, it’s the Dallas Cowboys who put a couple of devastating forks into the Bills’ chances to win the title game.

Buffalo lost to the Boys in back-to-back Bowls in 1993 and 1994. If Buffalo wins a Super Bowl, they will want it to be against the Dallas Cowboys.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Terrific Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback in history. Brady has won Super Bowls for a couple of different teams.

Cincinnati QB Joe Burrow has already played in a Super Bowl. Not only that, but Burrow’s game is the most similar of the young quarterbacks to Brady’s. So a Terrific Tom versus Joe Cool duel in Super Bowl 57 would be a game filled with high-drama.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Los Angeles Chargers

The two Los Angeles teams throwing down would make for a great matchup. The Bolts and Rams boast a couple of the best defenses in the NFL.

Not only that, but two of the top quarterbacks in the league toss the pigskin for both teams. Matthew Stafford won his first Super Bowl with the Rams. Staff wants to continue the good times this season.

Justin Herbert has barely scratched the surface of his potential. The Bolts’ signal-caller has skills for days. The fact the Chargers added piece to their defense is a sign they’re going for the hardware this season.

Rams versus Chargers would make for a great Super Bowl LVII. Both teams are loaded and both squads have returned to the City of Angels after Los Angeles’ lone professional football team was the, uh, USC Trojans under Pete Carroll.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Dallas Cowboys

Two of the most historical franchises in NFL history, two similar Super Bowl winning coaches, and two of the best quarterbacks playing, would make for a fantastic SB. Dak Prescott and Patrick Mahomes have similar games. They both have wheels but rely on their passing abilities.

Coaches Andy Reid with KC and Mike McCarthy with the Cowboys have won Super Bowls in the past. Both believe in creative play-calling on offense. Chiefs versus Boys would be a classic.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. New Orleans Saints

Teams representing the two biggest party cities in the United States throwing down in a Super Bowl? One word, epic. Sure, this probably won’t happen. The odds are astronomical, but it would be fantastic to see which party teams wins out. The Big Easy or Sin City?

It would also be a decent game. The Saints have a very good defense and the offense should be an effective unit. Derek Carr to Davante Adams projects as one of the best QB to WR combinations this season.

Again, this most likely won’t happen. But a Saints versus Raiders Super Bowl would be a fantastic matchup. It would also be a lot of fun.
