NFL’s St. Brown Brothers Score TDs for Respective Teams in Week 1 of the 2022 NFL Season

By Jeff Stinger

Don’t call it a sibling rivalry just yet, but the St. Brown brothers of the NFL might be in for an arms race all year long this 2022 NFL season.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown found the end zone on a four-yard touchdown pass from Jared Goff late in the third quarter of their contest against the Philadelphia Eagles. The 22-year-old out of USC had a phenomenal rookie campaign in 2021, finishing with 90 catches for 912 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns.

Literally just minutes later, Amon-Ra’s older brother, Equanimeous, also scored a receiving TD for the Chicago Bears. Fields connected on an 18-yard strike for his second touchdown of the Bears’ Week 1 clash against the visiting San Francisco 49ers. This is Eqanimeous’ first season in Chicago after serving four seasons as an often-overlooked option in the Green Bay Packers receiving corps.

The father of the two siblings, John Brown, was a professional bodybuilder in the 1980s and is a two-time Mr. Universe winner. It’s safe to say that the St. Brown family is extremely gifted with athletic prowess and fans will be even more intrigued to follow these two budding wideouts’ respective careers from here on out after what had just transpired in the 2022 season opener.
