Philadelphia Eagles

After completing the biggest rout of the Divisional Round against the Giants, Philadelphia is now the odds-on favorite to win Super Bowl LVII. The Eagles simply outclassed the G-Men this past weekend to the tune of a 38-7 beatdown with Philly racking up a whopping 268 rushing yards as a team as well as five sacks on the defensive front. The Eagles appear the healthiest and most dangerous coming out of the Divisional Round, and it stands to reason why they’re now the front-runners to win their second Super Bowl title in franchise history.

Cincinnati Bengals

Neither an ill-timed injury nor a sudden blizzard in Orchard Park was going to deter the Bengals from defeating the AFC East champs this time around. Cincinnati stunned the highly-motivated Bills with a 17-point upset in Orchard Park thanks to a defense that refused to give Buffalo any wiggle room and another collected performance under pressure from Joe Burrow. The Bengals also ran for 172 rushing yards amidst the dire weather conditions to prove that they have as complete a roster from top to bottom to once again compete for a shot to make the Super Bowl for the second straight season.

Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City was the early consensus favorite to win it all entering the postseason. However, the team looked a bit flat in their first playoff game coming off their bye as the top seed in the conference, barely escaping with a one-possession win over the Jaguars. Patrick Mahomes suffered an ankle sprain during that contest and is not in the best shape heading into the weekend as we speak. The Chiefs also have to worry about another blockbuster rematch against the Bengals, who’ve won all three of their meetings against KC in the Joe Burrow era, including last year’s AFC Championship Game.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers lost a bit of their luster as well after the low-scoring affair versus the Cowboys. Although “Mr. Irrelevant” Brock Purdy played a clean game in the pocket, he was also flustered by a stout Dallas defense. Facing Philly’s similarly imposing D up next turns the level of difficulty up another notch for the rookie QB. However, San Francisco. does still boast the best win streak in the league with 12 straight victories dating back to Week 8 of the regular season. It’s this massive momentum coupled with Purdy yet to lay an egg under center that keeps the Niners as more-than-viable contenders for the Lombardi Trophy amidst the rest of the playoff field.
