Does chalk Jon Rahm offer underlay or overlay odds?

Rahm hasn’t played since the Masters Tournament. At Augusta, the chalk shot okay when finishing at +4 and in twenty-seventh place. But although Rahm shot okay in the first major of the year, he hasn’t shot under par in his last three tournaments played. It’s difficult to have faith in Rahm to get it done this week.

For sure, he can win this. But when betting on golf tournaments, we always must weigh price versus the true chances of winning. Rahm’s actual chances suggest odds of at least +1000. At +450, Jon Rahm is an underlay. So no, the favorite doesn’t offer fair odds.

Which golfer at +2000 is the best bet to win the 2022 Mexico Open at Vidanta?

Depending on the tournament, Tony Finau, Gary Woodland, or Abraham Ancer can win. All three have the ability to take home a trophy.

Before getting into which players deserves the most attention, it’s important to point out that all three are better bets than Jon Rahm. No doubt, Rahm should be the chalk, but the odds are too low to warrant a bet.

If you want to back one of the second choice golfers, take a long look at Finau and Woodland. Finau finished thirty-fifth at the Masters, just a couple of strokes off the Mexico Open favorite. Ancer has missed the cut in his last two tournaments played. Gary Woodland missed the cut at the Masters. But Woodland finished eighth at the Valero Texas Open in the tournament before. So consider backing Woodland and Finau if you want to go with one of the second choices.

Name two golfers from +2800 to +3500 odds that can win the Mexico Open.

Kevin Na finished fourteenth at the Masters and twenty-sixth at the RB Heritage. He’s hitting the ball well enough to win this. The other player in this odds category worth mentioning is Cameron Champ. The +3500 choice missed the cut at The Players Championship and the Valero Texas Open. But Champ picked up his game big time at Augusta, shooting a fantastic even par and finishing tenth.
